We all love classic. But i will be honest from day 1 I was already hoping for TBC because it was my favorite iteration of WoW. I am curious to see how many other TBC hardcore players played or playing classic in hopes of a Burning Crusade option.
I joined classic because of Naxx. I did TBC so I wouldn’t play classic solely for that.
When TBC drops I’m gone. Been there, done that.
Literally me, I wanted blizz to see merit in the classic project so I subbed to show support in hopes that it was so successful that they’d launch tbc. Ended up actually enjoying classic, but now that naxx is coming out it’s time for blizz to give us their exact plans for the future. TBC plz
I feel i did the same thing as this as well. Though i did play vanilla back in the days so i have enjoyed playing classic. With that said I feel there is room enough for each version of the game (classic/TBC) to have players enough for healthy server population.
Well I want classic, TBC and Wrath so…
While BC is my favorite and I’d like to play Wrath too I didn’t join for BC. Classic is a good enough game that it’s worth playing even if that’s all we get
Well, 40 man Naxx will still be there in TBC. Obviously it won’t be current content but guilds will still be able to do it. And it’ll be even easier when you’re 70, so you can experience it and get your cool T3 gear.
One of the reason I prefer TBC to Wrath…where it’ll be gone again.
All I know is there needs to be a home aka servers for players to play the content as it was whether is classic vanilla, or Burning Crusade, or Wrath of the lich king. Each iteration had its unique flavor. The crucial time is now to ensure it is done right.
TBC will come and I’m sure I’ll play it and enjoy it, but for now, I’m enjoying classic. I am in no rush to get to TBC. I do wonder how many of the people who are trashing classic and looking forward to TBC classic are going to whine and complain once it gets here.
From what I seen, everyone is more interested in what’s coming instead of what they have. Like even stuff that just came out is considered “old” these days.
I love classic but as one who played from vanilla all the way to wrath i can say is i subbed for classic because i was prepping for TBC. No trashing classic here. Classic is a huge success. All i am hoping for is things to be handled correctly by blizzard in implementing the different iterations of WoW.
I’m more of a TBC or WotLK person myself from a basic game-play & class/spec design perspective. I played from launch 2004 & already knew that the talent trees for a lot of Vanilla classes/specs were dismal past the dungeon content level, that gear itemization for many specs was awful, that certain class/specs are stupidly overpowered & exploitable, & that raiding in Vanilla was an extreme pigeon-hole game. Still, anything is better than dumpster fire retail WoW - even an imperfect clone of Vanilla.
I love both classic and TBC and will play both. If I have to choose between keeping my character on a classic server or moving on to a BC server it will be the former. I’d rather keep my characters and all the gear I worked hard for relevant in classic and create a new story with new characters in tbc.
I will keep playing Classic but I started leveling an Orc shaman last week in case they do release BC servers. I played Shaman from Vanilla through Pandas and the most fun I had on him was BC.
Which is why how blizzard implements TBC will be super important.
Its going to have to come down to either Transfers from Classic servers to new TBC servers or from TBC servers down to classic.
For sure, honestly anything they do is fine with me personally. If I have to reroll I have no problem, if I get to copy/paste and keep a version of my characters on both I’m fine with that too.
not sure copies will be the route to go as u might have a server filled with un played copies… best to make the player choose if he wants to stay with his character or progress it. That way the player will play what he is choosing to play and show accurately what he will be playing.
I agree. I also think having both fresh servers and progressive ones is the best way to go.
Lets wait for Blizcon in 2021 February and see if Blizzard will open the communication lines on the matter.
