Who is the most attractive WoW character - to you?

I’m surprised people still think she burned down the tree because she got triggered and not because it was the plan all along. She wanted to send a ton of souls to daddy Zovaal and she did.

This was…honestly beautiful.
Like that’s not a perspective I see a lot on GD - frankly I’ve been really impressed by what I’ve seen here in this thread. :relaxed:

You’re entirely right - things have got to change at some point - because we want these people to have freedom to say…“yeah, I’m all set here.” Does that necessarily mean that we’re gonna lose sylvie? Maybe - maybe not - but I’m gonna keep this in mind if her voice changes at some point. Nothing lasts forever, and things change. :relaxed:

I still feel like that’s blizzard’s cover story because they wanted to cover up after the backlash. “Uh, hey guys, shadowlands! We were planning this all along, we swear! Please resub.”

And to a slightly lesser degree male void elves.

Its fully consistent with how she was portrayed in Before the Storm, though. She wants death, and lots of it. She doesnt want lasting peace, even though thats how she sold the War of Thorns to the rest of the Horde.

To be fair to me, I shouldn’t have to read a book to understand a video game series.

The animation can be for that blamed, for verily doth it maketh the act seemeth wrought of turbulent emotion than callous rationale. As I recall, at least, it hath been a fair moment since last I beheld it.

How does she have plot armor exactly? She’s about to be killed off.

Her motivations were replenishing the Forsaken ranks… yeah, so evil.

Her voice already changed once, like midway through WotLK.

I am very glad shadowlands brought him back.

Solely to keep herself out of the Maw.

And yes, even if her goal was to secure a lasting future for her people and to replenish their ranks, starting wars of aggression and committing genocide is bad. Its not like good intentions for your group of people is a get out of genocide free card.

hey, just callin it as i see it.

all the ‘it was the plan all along’ stuff, along with this new information that i’m 90% certain is coming outta nowhere (like dreadlords always having been part of the shadowlands, or the fact that there’s a second, even bigger lich-king all along, etc) i dunno…
i just don’t care for the convoluted-ness of things so far. rather just take things as i see’em.
light tries to foist itself on illidan, and burns draenor? got it, they’re crazy too. elf ticks off sylvanas then she yells to burn the tree? makes more sense to me, considering i thought the plan was take the tree, get azerite, raise elves as new forsaken.

plus, i see this shadowlands excursion we’re under as sylvanas’s plan-B.

But you said during cata, which we didn’t know anything about that back then. During Cata, her motives were replenishing the Forsaken ranks, because humans and Worgen were trying to kill the Forsaken off, that is what we knew then.

Shout out to Piera Coppola - she did a fantastic job as well. I loved her interpretation of the dark queen.

No, her motives in Cata were still to keep her out of the Maw. Granted, we didnt know it was called the Maw back then, but she very definitely died and went to superhell and didnt like it in her post WotLK short story. She then came back filled with the desire to build an army of Forsaken as her ‘bulwark against the infinite’ and assure she never ended up back there.

We could debate the philosophical morality of that all night. Technically a governor’s sole responsibility is to their own people. This could be used to justify literally anything so long as it keeps their own people’s future safe.

I wish WoW moved in that direction because it would have been an interesting gray zone to explore. The god of the dead thing was a bit of a let down for me.
