I remember there was actually quite a bit of backlash when they changed her voice too. People didnt like Patty at all in the beginning.

It was just described as darkness, not a super hell. Again, we didn’t know any of this back then.
Speaking of voice changes, I really don’t like the voice of Jaina. It’s way too low pitched. It sounds nothing like her when compared to WC3. It’s like she picked up a pack a day smoking habit.
Laura Bailey is one of my absolute favorite voice actors, so I’m pretty biased in liking it.
i think we all liked old jaina… she got hit hard with the agestick… they beat the hell out of her… i miss her wrath model… she had pretty makeup… and completely different eyecolor… she looks so brooding now… they should have went with the lich queen arc w her after icc

Yeah, and I am not even trying to bash her. I just don’t like the way she did it. I know she has a lot of range. She could have easily tried to sound more like Jaina than she did.
And she has this weird tiny little eye brows that makes it look like her face is balding.
I don’t know why they are choosing to make all of our heroes old.
Dang, I think people just need to warm up to the idea, give them a chance to flex their talent and as long as the intent is authentic to the character, it will show. If Sylvanas gets another voice actor after Patty, the same thing will undoubtedly happen again. The cycle continues.

well i think they want to emphasize her time is more or less done as far as prominence she’s gonna retire as an aegwynn type i guess… im all for the new young ladies like taelia mayla tess etc
They never had to age any of them up in the first place. I don’t know why they went with so many time skips. I don’t like watching them grow old, they are the entire reason I was invested with the story to begin with. I feel like they did this just to bring anduin in, and that isn’t worth it.
ooh bad call sylvanas’ va is SO recognizable if she was ever recast it’d be INSANELY noticeable and hard to accept… her va revolutionized her newly transitioned image after wrath
Because you cant just have everything that happened from WC3 to Shadowlands happening in the same year.

Yeah, Patty certainly pioneered the character. If Sylvanas returns, whoever decides to take on the voice will have big shoes to fill. I’m hoping the fans would be more understanding to this sort of thing but that’s probably asking a bit much
i guess be grateful she’s dodged death like all her colleagues from her age group (varian, arthas, rhonin) blizzard is VERY careful when it comes to killing off females… theres even dialogue ingame reflecting on the poorly handled death/waste of elisande
