Who is the earth mother?

You’re right. Technically they just very strongly suggest it with little or no logical alternative. Our gods are robots. Blizzard had the big dumbs when writing Shadowlands and needs to backtrack somehow, it will be super hard now.

Rebirth has nothing to do with life. If you were at all aware of any of the TOP theories behind what Elune actually is, you woudn’t infer REBIRTH as PANTHEON OF LIFE.

Again, STOP INFERRING that this makes her PANTHEON OF LIFE.

That’s like me saying, Khadgar suggesting Elune made the Naruu = ELUNE on PANTHETON OF LIGHT, CONFIRMED.

This is exactly why you’re getting into arguments with so many people about lore, i.e. your own druid-thread; you infer things to the point of being utterly false.

This is WoW. Fact is not fact after enough time

To be fair, one is from Khadgar making a theory, and the other is coming from a Pantheon of Death giving actual information.

I didn’t realize that the Primus specifically calling her the Winter Queen’s counterpart in the realms of Life and the Winter Queen specifically calling Elune her sister was just a “very strong suggestion.” :woman_shrugging:

Wow… no wonder you’re wrong all the time. LOL

That’s not an inference. It’s literally her counterpart in the realms of Life.

What’s a counterpart?

And what does corresponds mean?

Take your triggered, hostile attitude somewhere else. We’re talking about the Earth Mother here.

the exact information says “Elune is on the Pantheon of Life”?

Guess I missed that somewhere. Or maybe you’re expecting words like REBIRTH and REALM OF LIFE to insinuate she’s on the Pantheon of Life lol.

You’re dealing with incredibly vague, and thanks to Steve D, incredibly intricated lore. He keeps things vague on purpose to generate theories, as admitted in his interview.

Regardless, if he wanted to make it canon that Elune was on the Pantheon of Life, he would be dam sure to say it as such.

Very easy fix:
“it is suggested that Elune might be on the Pantheon of Life after abandoning the Pantheon of Death for unknown reasons, but this hasn’t been directly confirmed”.

Oh, and just for further citation… page 56 of the Grimoire of the Shadowlands says the following:

Although relatively little is revealed about Elune’s true origins and background outside of mythology, Elune is known to be the sister of the Winter Queen of Ardenweald.[2] While her sister is a member of the Pantheon of Death, Elune is her counterpart in the Pantheon of Life. Together, they embody the balance of a great cycle.[10][11]

This is exactly why the forums have such a problem with you

Confidence coupled with no idea what you’re talking about. Gross.

It’s implied. But we honestly don’t know enough about Elune still, so her role is still up in the air.

Could just be another name for Azeroth?

She probably thinks the old gods and void lords are 100% evil too, because its implied that way

She’s still learning the delicate intricacies of ying-yang lore built into the entire cosmological theme.

You do know I’m not on your side in this petty little thing you have going on. That was for you, since you clearly don’t understand something being implied.

Like I said, TECHNICALLY it is not because it states nothing about the origins, but there isn’t a lot of wiggle room to infer anything else. The reasonable conclusion for anyone not huffing gallons of copium is:

If I had to write it, I’d do it with the first ones used living material to create life and dead material to create death. Lots of dumb in that, but trying to make icecream with spilled milk won’t have a great result however you do it…

Yeah, Bonelord posted a video of Bane referring as much in the BfA cinematic. So it’s a decent bet. Though I’ll be interested to see what that means with the stories of her children.

I wouldn’t have written it at all. LOL Blizz forgot that some mystery is good.

But I see your points.

I couldn’t care less, nor did I ask.

Your quote had value to my point pal. Thanks for it~

Really disappointed in the lack of “Your Mom” jokes here

We only got one. LOL

And it had value to mine, since you have zero idea what implying means.

We have zero information how its even possible that Pantheon “robots” can just “change sides” like that.

It also seems strange why someone associated with a arcane/moon theme would be on Death and maybe Life.

And her possible connection with Naruu/Light is just bleh

Then you have the little fable with Elune and her blue son …

in short, nothing ties together as to what she is, or where she belongs.

Oh… I wouldn’t go down that road… they’re not very good with words and definitions. :frowning:
