The interaction with you, Shaw, and Valeera, seemed more like Valeera was patting Shaw on the back and saying, “Go get 'em!”

I just watched Hobbs and Shaw. Closest thing to his love interest was Madame M.

While I dig, I can say that Flynn has brought up his past love interests multiple times around Shaw, has joked about other sexy stuff with him (tentacles being “fun”, in this case), and they’ve separately spoken about eachother in quests here and there. And then the book thing. Now, suddenly, Shaw’s interested in someone.

Agreed. Valeera practically said “dude, go for it” which would have been when I, a grown man and not a teenage boy, would have asked her out for coffee. I mean, if I was interested in women.
Besides, she’s been hanging out with Varian and Anduin for ages. Shaw’s probably got a freaking dossier on her. He doesn’t need to get to know her better

I’d say it’s Valeera. But now that Shaw and Flynn are getting a book together I’m now wondering if they’re suddenly a thing now.
If Shaw and Valeera were getting a book where they explore the Eastern Kingdoms together everyone would assume that theyre getting together.
Why is it different for Flynn and Shaw, who actually have chemistry?

Because in the context of the situation it seemed like Shaw was purposefully refusing to mention who it was.
Now rereading the text with the context of the book, I’m starting to think it’s not actually about love. More just not saying who it was to not reveal the contents of the book.
I would like a buddy-buddy tag team with Flynn and Shaw. But I just don’t see them as a romantic couple. They’re buddies. There’s really been no hints towards any romance between them.
But if they do end up together I wouldn’t oppose it.
