Are there any reports that the vaccine causes sterilization? A rumor I heard. I guess we’ll see.
Got my first shot of Moderna last week. Had chills that night but bundling up fixed that, no big deal.
My only gripe is that #2 is a full month later, and that for full effectiveness one needs to wait a couple weeks after that. Having been in quarantine since last April is starting to wear on my nerves even as someone who’s inclined to introversion.
Had my second dose over a month ago now. Very happy
Will be nice when traveling to Canada

That’s great. My brother received his second shot on Monday. He had flu like symptoms for a few days. His office is still working from home. Work travel for their office is suspended until summer. Since he travels often for work, he was required to get the vaccination.

I had the Moderna. I had no symptoms what so ever after my first and second shot. They said my arm would be sore for a day. Not even that happened. /shrug
I was told by a family member thats a big time Dr in DC to avoid the other two like the plague. Only the Moderna is fully tested. The other two were rushed out with government funds under the Trump admin apparently. This I guess is why my work ONLY supplies Moderna

That’s the one he received. My father had the same and had a mild reaction to his first shot; headache and sore throat for a few days. I took him in to get both shots, and hung around both days (since my mother was working) in case he had any side effects.

Smart move. When a Dr that graduated from John Hopkins tells me to do something I do it. I am really glad you all got the Moderna. STAY SAFE

I’m the only adult in my immediate family that has not been vaccinatinated. At this time, my job does not require me to travel. However, that probably will change by the end of the year or early next year since I’m looking to change jobs. Then I’ll have to get the shot.

Yes, you’re correct, and it was still a bad idea then as it is a bad idea now. The amount of people Covid has killed is paled in comparison to small pox. However, it was a government mandate, NOT an employment mandate, so that’s totally different.

Looks like Dr Fauci had done it again. Another 14 months to go until MAYBE we can go back to normal. Who actually this hack? Meanwhile, there people out there are willing to continue to wear mask even covid is long past because they haven’t gotten a cold since wearing a mask…Are these people are that stupid?

I’m on the same page as you. I WILL NOT take the “vaccine” until there is long term data. We have no idea how this will affect us in 3-5 years or beyond. And they say that it’s safe and “trust the science”.
As a scientist myself (BSN) I remain skeptical as all scientists should. Once there is long term data showing that there aren’t going to be harmful side effects, I’ll consider taking it. But not until then.

I DO know how medicine works as I work in medicine, and I will NOT get the shot unless and until the long term data shows it to be harmless. Currently 3 months data is not long term data. This is the very FIRST “vaccine” (medical procedure is a better term, because that’s what it actually is) that hasn’t gone through the usual 3-5 year testing phase. It was rammed through mainly to (in my opinion) to make the general population feel safer.
And now we have companies mandating vaccines for continued employment and the shot hasn’t been truly deemed safe. But if you want to inject something that’s not been verified safe and with a new technique that also hasn’t been verified safe, that’s up to you.

I just had a very close friend of 40 years die today from Covid. I have other friends who have lost people as well.
I get my second dose this week, and will be happy to have it. I will still continue to take appropriate precautions until this is well and truly over, which may not be for some time yet.
My personal opinion; People need to toughen up and stop being stubborn expletives and get the bleeping shots so this can end.

if we can’t back to normal, still wear a mask and not see our grandparents after fully vaccinated. what’s the point of getting vaccine? Already America people are choosing to stay home and not going to work because our current administration is paying people to stay home while small business is suffering because of that. Also people don’t want take vaccine either because of their religion views or after what happen with Johnson and Johnson with 6 cases of blood clogs (which it’s stupid.)

I mean being sick sucks, regardless of the particular illness. I’ve rather enjoyed not coming down with random colds/flus/stomach viruses in the past year… it’s freed up my sick days for things that I wouldn’t normally be able to take sick days for (headaches, not enough sleep, etc). Not hard to imagine why people might want to extend that.
The phrase that comes to mind is “don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good”.

It’s more than that. The problem lies in that the technique used in the moderna/pfizer “vaccines” is that it’s all new. No one actually knows what are the possible side effects. They can tell us that there will be little to none. But the CDC already reports some 4100+ people have died after receiving said vaccines. In other studies on medications and/or vaccines, that kind of number would most likely shut the vaccine/medication down. Why is this one different?
And as a scientist (BSN) it is actually my duty to actually BE skeptical until we have all the facts. The reality is, we have NO long term data to suggest that the vaccine is actually going to be safe. Now say in 3-5 years, we have enough data to show that it is indeed safe, I’ll seriously consider taking it. But as it stands, not enough time has passed to say it is truly safe.
