I’ve worked 20 years in pharmaceutical development from formulations to analytical. I worked on one of the first monoclonal antibodies submitted for approval by the FDA (denied) but my background is primarily small molecule tableted and colloidal. I’ve worked on maybe 30 new drug applications (most were abbreviated), I don’t claim to be an authority but that’s not to say I’m not educated.
I read the case studies, I saw the reactions reported. I’ve known people that got very sick after receiving the vaccine, I was even told at work to expect a reaction and to try not to get it during the week. It’s quick recovery usually unless the person is compromised like my mom who survived Covid only to die from the vaccine. She was a nurse into her 70s, almost 50 years. She worked peds for a lot of that, later getting into elderly care.

Yea I’ll wait the couple years until it’s fully approved.

I’ll feel a lot better once it’s fully approved, probably early next year assuming the data is accepted.
End of 2022 for one and early 2023 for the other.
Pfizer is saying January next year. Review is usually 6 months but it depends on complexity and priority. Any deviation outside the scope of the submission would require extra development/validation.

I’ll be shocked if it passes. Too many deaths/events from it. And with people still getting sick, it’s not really a vaccine… more like a flu shot.
To be honest, the FDA allows some latitude to vaccine manufacturers especially when predicting potentially high mortality like with Covid. It’s the government, they like to take the lowest bid and it has caused issues in the past.
45k deaths so far. And many other reactions.

I’d read a smaller number on the CDC site that I linked but they apparently don’t include compromised patients so your number may be the more correct. EDIT: Wanted to add, I’ll trust the FDA over the CDC.

I think the vaers number states 10,000 but a whistle blower recently came forward. Now it’s obviously not absolute but typically these types of things have come true so we shall see. I won’t be taking it as early as January. Maybe end of 2022 at the earliest, if at all.

I did some Googling, that number has been shown to be false. There have been some deaths, which is unfortunate. However, millions of people have died from covid. Unless you already have health problems, choosing not to get the vaccine is liking choosing to fight a polar bear instead of a dog.
I’ve worked with Covid patients since the beginning every day. Way before the vaccine was available. I’ll take my chances ty.

It’s unfortunate that the government used the pandemic for political purposes, we’re left knowing we were lied to but we don’t know to what extent.
Anecdotal evidence on the internet is useless. I’ll go with what doctors and scientists are saying.
Because Journalist are activists. I do recall with BLM riot last year news like CNN that they told us that the protest are mostly peaceful while showing building are on fire and violence on the streets. Net gain for BLM is 3% down from 24%. I don’t watch tv news not even Fox News.
Yes I know that. Problem what I see here is illegal immigrates that are rushing to the boards that are bringing Covid19 into the US. They’re not being tested and group up in cages so of course it it’s going spread. You wonder why that some people here in US aren’t vaccinated? There plenty of reasons why they’re not getting vaccinated. Some people don’t wanna risk some side effects from experimental vaccine. Their doctors who knows their medical history had told them not get the vaccine, and most importantly there a mix message about getting vaccine. “Don’t wear a mask” “Wear a mask”, “Don’t double masking”, “do double masking”, “once vaccinated, keep wearing your mask and social distance from other people.”, “You can take your mask off if you’re vaccinated” Now with LA and Las Vegas are back with mask mandate for even the people who are fully vaccinated, more people are not going get vaccinated because “what’s the point of getting the vaccinated if I can’t get back to normal” there some people out there believe this is nothing but a power grab. I do believe we are going to have another lockdown down the road. If it does happen, people are going to snapped.
Its because they’re not intelligent people.

As am I. Also I’ll go with my own natural immunity.

Then no doubt you also know that it apparently spread to the US via the UK, we probably had that variant before south and central America did.
The border issue is a separate subject. It is a combination of the situation where the immigrants are coming from, our blatantly stupid immigration laws; and ignorance, grandstanding, and demagoguery by politicians of both parties.
As to Cuba, Trump virtually closed the US Embassy in Havana effectively stopping processing of visas for Cubans eligible for the Cuban Family Reunification Parole Program, while also implementing expulsions of asylum seekers under Tittle 42 citing the pandemic. Biden hasn’t made any substantive changes to these policies since taking office and the policy of stopping boat traffic has also continued, so it is very difficult to come directly from Cuba to the US.
The situation is somewhat different for Cubans arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border.
In the last month of Trump’s presidency about two-thirds of Cubans caught crossing the border were expelled to Mexico under Title 42.
Since Biden took office the number of Cubans arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border has risen sharply but this year over 90% of these Cubans were allowed into the United States to reunite with U.S.-based family members and seek legal status in immigration court.
The majority of Cuban migrants being allowed in are single adults while Biden has continued to expel the vast majority of individual adults arriving from Central America and Mexico.

Intelligence isn’t the primary (arguably not even a significant) factor in whether people succumb to a cult of personality. Obama (whom I voted for twice) also became a cult of personality in the watered-down sense of such that can occur in the U.S. and had the national media on his side rather than opposing him tooth and nail. On a larger scale we see political and social movements and narratives to which large numbers of intelligent people are zealous adherents even when data complicates or confounds them.
I think people are looking for political outsiders because they feel they cannot fix the system from within due to corruption.
