They should just reboot Classic. I don’t trust this Team to release Cata or do a Classic+.

I’ve heard the PVP in MOP is good, but beyond that, will likely retire my toons.

I will prolly at it as my last xpac for Blizzard.
I’m looking forward to the much harder raids.
I also didn’t do cata I joined the navy.

Can’t speak for OP but to me the whole expansion felt small and short. The leveling process seemed heavily designed to get you in and out of it and there wasn’t much to do outside of the on rails questing design. I like skipping around zones and Cata somewhat put a stop to it and carried that design forward.
Didn’t much care for the world redesign either, I get it from a story point and it did (depending on who you ask) sort of streamline the old world leveling process. It was a huge change to a very familiar and popular world we all existed in and I understand why people wouldn’t like that happening again more or less.
PVP was tight, felt good, and was accessible to most who wanted to put the reasonable amount of effort required into it. I maxxed out my pvp brain in OG wrath so I didn’t go too high into the arena ratings but what I did play was enjoyable.

Disagree. Cata is the expac ive been most excited about ever since they announced the classic project. I could play cata pvp until the end of time and never get bored of it.
MoP is also amazing. For me Cata and MoP were the peak of WoW pvp by a large margin.

it was pretty bad for lot of classes, zoomers liked it if they were playing Hunter/pala/mage basically, pretty bad design overall.
It’s basically a meme at this point to say “Wait till X” but damn I’ll be curious to see how fast guilds can get through content like T11 and T12. To be fair I’m curious about HICC, but T11 in particular was considered to be particularly brutal especially on 10M. And HRag was no joke on 25M.
Who am I kidding though, it’ll all probably go down in a day.
I think all raids go down in 1-2 days since blizzard uses PTR.
The majority of guilds haven’t even done Heroic Firefighter yet.
2 days. retail “tourists” will need a day to feel out changes from Retail time walk changes and classic cata’s. with ptr testing ofc. But what is on ptr is not always in release.
between pserver and timewalk this is why they fall fast, imo. purists who left are going its new, kind of!
Retailers are going I was here last TW cycle. Like BT. that is still run for illidan’s glaives lol. its the only way to get the mog from it. the glaives from solo Non TW runs do not unlock the mog entry on the weapons tab.
P server is going feels like I was here only a month ago. oh wait…I was.
Same for the dungeons. that will jsut be working out the kinks of non retail tree and using the cata one.
The devs can make the raids as hard or as easy they want. The reality is the top players will PTR the absolute heck out of it. Any raid that has been released before wont stump anyone.
This is the only reason Algalon was killed week 1.
No shot any guild without PTR did the fight in an hour.
The 1 hour timer was removed on the PTR giving guilds literally 20 weeks worth of prog.

That is a necessary evil. the only way to test later phase boss code is to have people actually see the later phase boss code.
Or else you get what retail had with final phase raid for BFA. Ny’alotha final Boss glitched out, the phase 3 mechanic of doom did not fire up. and the WFR crew had a shot to clear way to easily.
And team retail went into oh crap mode. they killed all Ny’alotha instances. Not jsut the WFR crews instance stream they were watching. Every ny’alotha instance was killed. and patched in a fast time frame.
And if they don’t do PTR then the players will riot because of all the “bugs” and how things aren’t working correctly.
It’s a no win situation.
