Not gonna unsub, but I am pretty sure as soon as I get Pathfinder pt. 2 and get caught up with any War Campaign stuff that needs to be done, I’ll probably be done with the expack until they roll the final loot piñata before 9.0.
Have they revealed if we’re getting anything with Pathfinder this time around?

Exactly. I am not giving the team a pass on anything. I have my issues with things too, it’s just the whole “It’s all Ion’s fault!” bit is inaccurate enough that I felt compelled to reply.
I expect I would do what I had done at the end of all the prior expansions – level alts, work on professions, see whatever new content comes out in patches, etc.
Again, this wasn’t an issue until Blizzard made it one, two expansions ago. Funny how those earlier expansions are (mostly) remembered fondly, and did have things to do after achieving flight …
Pathfinder reward for BfA – if they made it a flying monkey from the Wizard of Oz that carried you around by your belt or cloak, all would be forgiven.
Probably won’t unsub but as far as I am concerned I don’t see why we can’t fly in current zones.
I know they want us to see all the content in those zones and I can see that but why do we have to wait nearly a year and for the current zones to be irrelevant before we can fly.
Doesn’t getting lore master and explorer for the expansion show that I’ve seen the content?

I know I haven’t done may mythic plus dungeons or raids higher then lfr due to real life but I’ve done some form of dungeons and raids along with Warfronts , WQ’s (including invasion ones) .Tried Island Invasions too.
The only thing I like about Pathfinder is that once I get it all my toons can fly in the zones but at a certain point it is just a flat out to the player base . I say that because no matter what people say it was not a compromise. A compromise takes both sides the players and the devs.
THe compromise we got was between the devs and the higher ups at Blizz who told the devs (We are losing players because of this so fix it and find a way for them to fly) . The devs compromise was to ok we will make flying part of a cheevo and because people didn’t like that we were going to take away flying in new content we will make them pay dearly for it by adding the most random time gated rep grinding content we can for the cheevo.
Honestly I think flying is being added too soon. I think flying should only happen at the very end of the expansion. You shouldn’t be able to just skip through everything and go straight to the objective. Either that or make content that’s specifically designed with flying in mind.
We already knew there was a pathfinder 2 coming with the next patch. Not sure what it will be but I’m expecting 1 or 2 more reputation grinds at least.
Not quitting. Looking toward getting pathfinder 2 done as quickly as I can.
But what if you have done all the content so far on multiple toons ?
Do you need to be land locked just for WQs ?
I know flying is a qol aspect of the game and not a needed part of playing the game but what is wrong with having some qol aspects?
Don’t think I am some lazy kid that wants everything handed to me , because I am not .
I come to Azeroth to take a break and have fun and flying to me is part of that fun .
I do this because it helps me relieve stress from a 50-60 hour work week as a Sous chef running a restaurant kitchen where I am on my feet 99% of the time .
This is also a job where I didn’t get it by going to Culinary school but by working my way up from being a Dish Washer to learning every station in the kitchen and I started all of this in my 40s
Many players who are passionate about flying have quit the game, so your responses will be skewed. The remaining player base has committed to remaining despite no flying, so I wouldn’t expect any sort of mass exodus now.
Personally, I stopped playing back in July 2018. I just re-subbed yesterday. I have NO intention of doing new content. My plan is to fly around on my main, pick flowers, collect old mounts and pets, visit Undercity ANY TIME I WANT, and enjoy flying MY WAY.
I already have cancelled. Screw this. It’s a game and it’s supposed to be fun.
Judging by the guild roster and who’s online many already did the same. Why slog through uninspired content for their precious metrics.
Ion and his crew can complain if their metrics drop, they are the only ones to blame for it. Their vision is bad, and their decisions are bad. I have no sympathy for those who refuse to listen.
