Who else believe WOTLK Classic will be the most popular version of WoW?

What I mean by this is quite obvious WOTLK Classic servers will have the most players playing on them, more than Classic, TBC or retail easily.

Despite how many people hate LFD which I understand why, I notice while playing TBC which I didn’t during Classic is people are complaining a lot about finding groups and with WOTLK all of these issues will be gone due to Dungeon Finder, a lot of retail only players will probably jump in at this point which will increase the WOTLK servers population by A LOT.

after the bruning pass and what they will surely want to put in the store when it comes out, I don’t think so.

If Blizzard are faithful to Wrath’s recreation and don’t F it up, Wrath arena has a good chance of killing Retail arena.

Or rather the evolution of arena from Wrath - MoP era of WoW.

WotlK was the most popular version of WoW when it was retail…I see no reason why it wouldn’t be the most popular version of Classic.

Without descending into all the petty arguments over minutia that this forum loves so much, I will just say that WotLK was peak Warcraft. No argument yet presented has swayed me from that fact.

Its when dks were at their best. I cant wait.

I wouldnt be so sure. Tbc had a lfg tool that was not included in tbc classic. So it is possible that the lfd tool may not be included un wotlk classic.

It’s not really hard to find groups tho. And there are addons thar make it even easier. I think it will be better turn out but not bc of LFG.

Your opinion does not make it fact. I think it was good in the beginning but by the end it was not so good. I think the subs also show this. Tbc was the best and no argument has swayed my opinion.

I would wager to say that its wasnt LFD that people hated. LFD in and of itself wasnt the “bad” thing imo. It was cross server LFD and LFR that made it horrible.

With LFD restricted to stay in its own server, you still need to mind your morales because server community and your “character” means something. But the moment you get put in a group full of people in different servers, its kinda like breaking the law because there are no cops around and you know you wont get caught.

LFD was fine imo, until it added cross server. That being said, it will do nothing to decrease the time dps sets in que…in which case people will complain and history repeats.

Wrath is a nice mix of modern QOL changes and old school WoW’s social structuring. Class design is at all time high and PVP is frickin insane

Wrath will absolutely be the highest peak in Classic WoW and I hope it ends there

There is no verifiable proof that WOTLK was the most “popular” wow expansion, the playerbase was already huge at the end of TBC… Wrath attracted new players no doubt… but did those people actually play wrath or jump on the hype train? blizz has said previously that a vast majority of the accounts throughout the entire history of the game never made it past level 20. The population started to fall after wrath so… I dont know if wrath truly was the most popular.

Wotlk is going to be popular until people realize they have to sit through ToC to get to ICC.

It was either Wrath or BC.

Use your confirmation bias and go with it.

I would focus more on goals you want to do in TBC Classic instead of thinking about Wrath Classic…I do believe they will release that but i also believe that will be the last one

like I said, no way to know without verifiable evidence… everyone forgets to mention that people pretty much complained all through wrath. Naxx 2.0, People hated ToTC, people said ICC was too easy, and then there was a huge content drought at the end when they released Ruby Sanctum ( LMFAO ). I love wrath, I will be pooping in a sock to get TLPD.

It wasn’t. It was a great expansion, but BC had a loyal fan base for wow, and wrath added in a major commercial hype train with the LK being very marketable. (They doubled down on this with cata “huge scary dragon on tv doing dragon stuff, “I PITY THE FOOL” commercials, etc)

Wrath fundamentally changed the game and the overwhelming majority of hardcore players i knew quit during wrath. Subs steady increased during TBC, then started dropping during wrath.

I think it will be initially very popular.

Then people will remember wrath had a lot of low points, too. Especially in the Naxx/ToGC phases.

Ye but nobody asked you? Lol you got triggered over one dudes opinion, relax.

Said nobody ever. ToC has 0 trash mobs… 0. People will fly through it and get on with their wow lives. It’s popular to spew hate about ToC but nobody really cares. It’ll get done.

don’t know, don’t care.
talking about wrath classic after just a month of TBC classic is pretty much just trolling.
