You still have die by the sword every min and can spam a 20k absorb every 13 seconds. Not to mention the ret pally on ur team can take you out of every stun and 1 shot heal u with wog or the feral on your team can cc the entire enemy team during their go and heal you or when you have a gap in your cds you can just leap across map and fleshcraft or bladestorm when they connect then intervene back to your teammate like how do you ever die as warrior

they should’ve looked at ignore pain or nerfing d stance in a diff way

i dont play warrior so i dont have a dog in this race. but even though dstance was really good, i think blizzard should go after nerfing borrowed powers first, like i dont know, the one that makes parry a 1.5 minute cd?
in 10.0, warriors will lose that borrowed power and still have a nerfed dstance

I think a far more elegant solution would be to prune ignore pain. Then play with the ratios on an ability like
New: Defensive Stance
Warrior enters defensive stance reducing all damage taken by 50% and reducing all damage done by 75% for 6 seconds.
During this period warriors rage bar has no limit and 40% of the damage taken will be stored as fury. Upon exiting warrior will swing in a wide cone converting all fury into X damage
1 minute cooldown.
I don’t think they need a spammable mage shield that can’t be purged but gives them tools to retaliate and play with numbers on it.
I think something like that fits atleast thematically and compensates for defensive nerf by removing d-stance and pruning ignore pain.
So if you do try to go through it and or parry you could potentially get oneshot by a warrior tunneling into it

Except it’s not a mage shield, it takes 50% of the damage done to you absorbed and the other 50% hits the warrior. The amount absorbed (13-16k) or the conduit should be looked at maybe even a look at how much of damage done gets thrown at the pain vs hitting the warrior. Those are effective changes. But people really just wanna see warrior F tier for some reason. As if control meta is fun or something. Does no one remember when L-S-D was as good as RMP? Or MLD?. People are really about to set themselves up for the most triggering season if ideas like yours went through. #nerfRMP

ignore pain would fix itself if they’d make rage interesting again. that was the only thing about the condemn meta to miss, ignore pain was actually hard to justify because your rage dump wasn’t as worthless as slam
I’ve said this about fotm rerollers as a meme before. Dstance was something they just never bothered to understand how to use properly and ended up using it to their detriment and now it’s gone, INC more mongo
Fair I just like to see compensation throw out. I just figure an ability to save them for a go or deterr trying to tunnel through + risk getting gibbed for it would be a fair trade off, atleast something along those lines.
Damage penalty is just to avoid running in like an ape and popping everything and using it as free defensive while you do it but offering a good counter-attack defensive

Yeah entering D stance is basically neutering yourself with no notable return.
I’m honestly wondering if heroic leap CD reduction would be a better talent for survivability.
They should have focused on a number of other things instead of making the talent bad at what it does - increase survivability.
