Literally the only dev people in top raiding guilds talk about as someone who cares about classic. It’s a job to the rest from what I’ve heard.
Pre-launch we had a CM named Ythisens who was quite active in the Classic community. He was fired with that big 800 layoff that gutted customer support and game support at Blizzard.

That 800 employee layoff was across the entirety of Activision-Blizzard and didn’t affect Blizzard’s CS department at all. I’ve shown you the legal document detailing these layoffs and you continue to lie about it.

I know. I’m just saying we got a fair amount of Blue posts back then. Devs have never posted much. Ghostcrawler was pretty good with that. Anyway, yeah it was a CM, but still it was nice.
Then support took a huge hit in the Great Layoff.
Zero support cut in the “Great Layoff.”

Don’t shoot the messenger. Aggrend is pretty much the only dude on that level that will come here and talk at us.
It did end most of the whining. Mostly.
I just wasn’t a fan of them caving to the whiners and opening up the can of worms, now the forums is littered with people asking for balance in classic, which is why the classes are all so homogenised in retail, for the exact same reason these people keep begging for their class to do X or Y.
I also don’t think blizz communicates with us near enough. Aggrend chatting for 2 minutes in random discords every few weeks and a couple blue posts around content drops aren’t something I’m going to pat blizzard on the back for.
I’ll take this all back for a sniff of some fresh news though.

Honestly? Same. It sets a precedent that players will point to that only serves to escalate similar requests for others no matter how much he (Josh) or other devs state it won’t have any effect. If posters could just confine their nonsense to progression forums that’d be super.
Blizzard has had an issue with reasonable communication with the players for a very long while. I don’t anticipate that is going to improve to the level I would want anytime soon. I do appreciate that at least Aggrend has reached out via discord. It’s not ideal but it is something. Positive reinforcement does work so maybe, for me, if I recognize and encourage Blizzard will do more of it.
