Which warlock?

Gnome Warlock just like I was back in old times. Horde will learn to hate me in old Alterac Valley battles.

Orc warlock for me. I did Affliction in TBC, so I actually want to try either Demonology or Destruction - but the leveling path seems to favor Affliction.

I might go gnome warlock actually. The +5% int and escape artist are pretty nice. Not as good as the orc racials for pvp but as I said, I kind of want to be alliance for raiding, because, salvation.

Are we starting with bosses at 16 debuff slots? If not, then warlock is going to have some issues.

As for a wand, the best early wand I remember drops from Cookie in deadmines.

Shaman alt is going to be an Orc, and I want variety among my characters race-wise.

If I were Alliance it would be Human.

Either Undead or Human, depending on what faction I’m on. Some people say Orc racial, but the animations on Undead/Human are superior. I’m an aesthetics guy, I guess.

As far as spec goes, it will probably be a variation on the Shadow Mastery/Ruin spec for leveling. Suppression is so good for getting those dots to stick while leveling. Ruin for finishing off the runners that will be returning after fear wears off. I’ll use the voidwalker to tank one for me as well. I used this method to handle up to five mobs at once, depending on mob density it may not be feasible to push higher than four mobs.

Later on, when pushing level 55+, I’ll switch out of Affliction to get Soul Link/Ruin. That spec is amazing for a lot of content. But warlocks are very flexible, and I’ll probably find a way to get suppression in for pvp dot action.

If I were to do Machine Gun Imp, I’d rather hit it as a Shadow Mastery multi DoT spec. Because if it isn’t instant, you’ll get locked out of spells via stun or kick.

Orc warlocks are for winners. Undead warlock is for noobs. Gnome and human warlocks are for honor points.

i am afraid

I mained Gnome mage back then
So I think it is time for turning to the dark side of magic!

Probably start out with the tried and tested affliction route, and later respec to a destro conflag build to insta-gib people who don’t see it coming --insert evil grin–

Why wpuld ypu fear a mob? Just keep that vw tanking it and about 40% health move the vw to the next mob and start over.

You don’t life drain while leveling most of the time. You should be shadowbolting, wanding and drain souling for mana regen, only dot if you’re fighting multiple mobs.

Also Horde FTW.

Naaah, if you wanna chain-pull several mobs, you should be dotting up (which you did mention). Faster casting and easier on the mana. Those shadowbolt damage spikes will also make it harder for your vw to hold aggro (they have trouble with enough as is)

But whatever rocks your boat, regarding playstyle though

What is (un)dead may never die (to another warlock)

Kargoz makes pretty amazing guides for leveling
should help your leveling build a bit.

I’ll be playing a lock. Gone are the days when I don’t want to suck the life force out of an undead citizen.

Oh those old warlock icons look awesome.

I sucked at leveling a warlock in classic.

I’d go undead, I just don’t like playing orcs.
Though they were my first choice of undead but I deleated that toon.

Orc Warlock, most likely SL/NF

I prefer human aesthetic but I might roll the gnome this time around, unless my friends pull me horde side.

Still all over the place on specs, so hard to choose since there are so many good options and diversity
Considering a SL build but not sure if I want to push into shadowburn or nightfall. (PVP realm fwiw)

I see what you did there :sunglasses:
