dh afaik does pretty well into hunter teams
struggles against rogue teams when it’s not insanely durable
Undispellable root that causes DH to miss, and undispellable trap. If hunter is playing with a mobile healer (most play with rdruid/hpal) that DH should be useless most of the game while his healer just gets trained.
A better DH/DK.
Ya that’s just a 2v2 thing, doesn’t really counter DH tho otherwise, still relies on hunter having Hpal or Rdruid as well too in 2s

Depends on what we’re talking about here. It depends on their healers, but I’d say feral, warrior, WW, DH, Assa (if they have the same healer) are hardcounters for DK in 2v2 atleast.
As for healers, Hpala and Rdruid are generally very hard to deal with as a DK.
In 3v3, it depends even more on the comps, but RMD is a pretty insane counter to every DK comp.
DK is good at avoiding magic dmg with AMS/AMZ, and DH is good at avoiding physical damage with blade dance.
So, rogue/war will counter DK, and casters of any kind will counter DH.
Honestly, against these classes you can split dmg.
As RMP vs. any DH/DK (esp. with rdruid) we just have the priest/mage tunnel dh, rogue train healer/dk, and swap to kill onto one target when have kidney or can setup cc chain on healer.
DH/DK is hard for priest to deal with, and it works well above 2.3 mmr where you gotta start getting creative.
What do Ferals do that counter DK?

Rogue/Mage
In a more serious note, from my personal experience the hardest counter for dh has been a good survival hunter who can make the dh cry with net and diamond trap.
They have a lot of tools.
It’s mostly their bleeds and consistent damage that make death strike heal as little as possible. Then they also have roots which DK has no outs for and mobility to kite a DK.
Also, DK has no real defensives against feral damage.
Assuming that a DK plays against a Hpala+feral, the feral team can mostly just ignore the DK because the cc/peels and damage just aren’t there to force them to back off from the side of the DK.
Instead they have the choice to just blindly train the healer until he will eventually flop with a bit of dampening. They also have roots, mobility and insane defensives to deal with the DK once he gets in range.
The only exception is DK+Hpala I heard, but I haven’t tested it yet personally.

a good counter to dh and dk is to open classic wow instead of retail

if the dh is more geared than you are and is skilled there is going to be a high chance they win in a 1v1 or 2v2 situation.
There really is no counter to a skilled dk other than a good dh.
