Initially the court of night didn’t count for me, but a few months back, I suddenly gained two reps and I couldn’t find another one it could be from. I’m not entirely sure if it was hotfixed afterwards or I’m missing one in my list somewhere. I’m curious to see if anyone else has an experience to share regarding that one. I have yet to earn the others listed, so I can’t speak to those!
I got Ve’nari “appreciated” yesterday, but I’m not sure if it’s counting. My spreadsheet says I should have 48, but I only have 47, however it may be borked as a result of the Court of Night (see comment above). I wish there was an easier way to see which ones it’s counting on the backend as mine are across several characters.
Would Ve’nari count as a proper faction rep though? Seems to me that she might function the same way that the Tillers or the Fisherfriends did.
I did my 100 reps during BFA so have no way to track via achievements any longer, but I know when I was working on it then that only true faction reps counted. Their rep must be structured in the same manner as normal factions.
Granted, not all reps will start below Neutral, but can be brought below it by choosing to go to war with them or just killing enough of their kind to really make them mad. I’m not very liked by the Bloodsail Pirates at the moment, lol.
I’m not quite sure, either! I figured I’d at least offer my observation in hopes someone else could clarify any of these reps in their personal experience. That would make sense if Ve’nari is more like a “friend.”
I’m still trying to figure out if the Court of Night got hotfixed to count as it didn’t count when I got it initially but now according to my total rep count, it seems like it has been added. I do these across multiple characters as opposed to one, so it’s harder to track, and I rely on a spreadsheet to help me keep count, but ever since the Court of Night threw me for a loop, I’m not quite sure what is going on with them lol. I wonder if there is a script to run to find out which ones are “true” and “false” according to this achievement.
Forgot to comment on this one earlier, but I would think Death’s Advance would count, maybe you should file a bug report in case it is not intended?
As an aside, I don’t have Marasmius yet, but I’m assuming that does not count, either.
I personally think this is a bug since this reputation levels the same way as most other reputations do.
You may want to report this on the Bug Report Forum, So Quality Assurance can look into this as I feel it should count towards the 100 Exalted Reputations Achievement.
As an update, there is a comment on Wowhead from the 100 exalted reps achievement page as of 1.5 hours ago that a GM informed the player only the 4 main Shadowlands reps count toward the achievement. Not receiving a count for Death’s Advance triggered the question for others as well, it seems. Not to say that GMs have never been wrong in their ticket responses, just passing this info along. This means I am still uncertain which rep is counted that is not on my spreadsheet, as it is not likely to be Court of Night.
Of all the ones above, I feel like Death’s Advance should count, but I say that mainly as a suggestion now that we know it’s not a bug.
That’s seriously aggravating considering it’s literally just a regular rep bar. I understand the Covenant-specific ones (i.e. Court of Night) and Ve’nari/Archivist’s Codex, but c’mon… Death’s Advance isn’t? That’s crazy.
This is absurd and has to be a bug. I’ll be at 100 reps tomorrow assuming this gets fixed - and will raise hell if it doesn’t. At this point, I’m done with this game anyway after my sub is up in a week - so what does a ban matter?
Considering how many subs this game is leaking, if the team is seriously going with that philosophy I’d be extremely concerned about the future of the game (not that I’m not already concerned lol)
Death’s Advance, The Archivists’ Codex, Ve’nari, and The Avowed reputations should now count towards the Exalted Reputation achievements.
Developers’ note: Some players who have already capped out their reputation with these factions may not see these update until next week’s restarts. We have a code change coming with restarts that will fix those players, but we want to get the data updated to prevent new players from running into the issue.
Thank you! I sent in a bug report, as well as chewed a GM out about not reading my original ticket, because he insisted on giving me information about how achievements work, instead of actually looking into the issue that was occurring.
