a fresh pve, pvp classic server, and tbc. no classic +
Option 5: Classic with no changes and TBC Classic with no changes.
How do you define âClassic with no changes?â Nothing after Naxx, or reboot and redo phases 1-6?
i wouldnt botherâŚ
You think you do, but you donât. No, seriously. You think you want Classic+, but what you actually want is more content from the Blizzard of 2004. I want you, yes, you, Jeromagnus, to answer me this simple question, and answer it honestly: do you believe that the Blizzard of 2020, of BFA, Diablo: Immortal, and Warcraft 3: Reforged, the Blizzard controlled by Activision, makers of COD and the ones who drove Destiny into the ground, can and would make a game like the Blizzard of 2004? If your answer is no, then you donât want what Classic+ would most certainly be. If your answer is yes, well, I have a bridge Iâd like to sell you in Brooklyn.
Thatâs pretty self-explanatory, donât you think?
A recreation of vanilla⌠with no changes.
Correct. Instead of âservers stay static post-Naxx with as few changes as possible,â itâs âservers stay static post-Naxx with no changes.â
Okay, got it.
im cringing so hard
u take larping to a whole new level
???
Classic was always supposed to be a museum.
No, Classic was always supposed to be a hammer to smite IP thieves with. Everything else is bonus points.
generally museum those a few quality of life changes made during tbc/wrath would be ok like adding a barber or other such things.
hopefully they keep tbc classic separate and while i want mirr to be in classic some other people want to take gear from classic into tbc from the get go. They already have a classic option, a retail option, a option for tbc, wrath, and cata do seem valid.
Not sure thats how that works. You want to ADD to classic but you want them to just make new servers incase you dont like it? What a massive hedge that is.
If Blizzard did do a competent reimagining of the Vanilla WoW server type that included graphic/model/animation updates, specific QoL changes/features, balance/gear fixes, some new content, etc., it would be a hit also. It will never happen though.
this, but I have little faith it would go well, so TBC seems like the safer and less risky option.
I hate outlands, but at least itâs still a solid game. C+ has potential to be amazing, but one mistake ruins it.
1, but only after P6 has been out for quite some time.
If not, 2.
Ideally both in some fashion, as otherwise itâd defeat the purpose of classic in the first place. Whatever happens, vanilla classic must stay.
1 for me. The team obviously has a love for classic I believe theyâd keep the classic spirit in + content
Would you be okay with a Classic+ where they buffed Paladin to become a viable raid tank and boomkin/ele were no longer meme specs?
I assume that mistake is flying
WillE (one of the Classic youtubers) suggested just not implementing flying and putting portals everywhere - maybe not for the first iteration of TBC since people are expecting it, but if they were to reset it. What do you think of that?
Nah flying was fine for Outlands
for me it was more just the general aesthetics and spacey-ness of outlands that turned me off.
I do think flying was a mistake, but I donât think it ruined the game or anything, it definitely is fun, it just makes stuff like open world farming and pvp too trivial.
(ironic since Iâm playing a draenei)
EDIT: also hellfire peninsula ptsd.
