- Classic+, with new content and some rebalancing
- Classic Museum (servers stay static post-Naxx with as few changes as possible)
- Classic Seasonal (reboot servers every so often, go through phases 1-6 again)
- TBC -> Wrath, then some version or combination of 1-3. (I doubt they’ll redo Cata.)
I’m leaning towards #4 (TBC was my original heyday, I started WoW in late 2006) but was curious what other folks thought.
If you have another option feel free to describe as well

personally i would love to see number 1. but as many would rightfully point out it just isn’t feasible do to blizzards astronomical incompetents. it would just devolve into an unbalanced bug riddled mess jam packed with microtransactions.
actually now that i think about it you might want to remove option one entirely. its a false choice for reasons stated above.

Would like to see the classic tbc come through - but also feel that seasonal classic wow servers would also be amazing!
1 and 4. Although 1 will never happen. You hopefuls need to accept that. So 4 it is.
Separate realms for Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King. Ideally for me, they’d both launch at once, so that everyone on Burning Crusade realms with me, I could be confident was there because they wanted to be, not because they were waiting for Wrath of the Lich King realms to open.
1 is right out; “Classic+” is a dozen competing fantasies and I haven’t seen even one I actually like. 2 is necessary…and guaranteed, since Blizzard won’t want to let private servers start up again. 3 is entirely pointless at best.
ideally we would get #5, a sequel to WoW developed with the same philosophy as original WoW but I could settle for #2
I want option 3, but the majority of my friends want 4, we could conceivably get 3 and 4 along side each other, in which case I’d do both.
Option 1 is not doable by the current dev team. You would need the original devs. So ney.
Option 2 will just die out eventually.
Option 3 is the only solution. The game is super fun, but you need the hard reset to keep it going. Sticking with ph6 server where everyone is already bis will not attract new players
Option 4 has nothing to do with vanilla (classic). TBC is alright but its another game and Wotlk was eh. I mean add it but all it will do is make sure you have pservers for vanilla again (which quite frankly is not bad. Some of em were better than than 1.13)

Most people that I talk to want to progress their characters from classic into TBC and Wrath, but a large minority of us want a reboot, so you could progress existing classic servers into TBC and wrath, while offering a fresh classic reboot along side it, I think that’s the best option and will make everyone happy.

Not disagreeing with you but the way OP worded it and gave options meant that option 4 would mean the end of classic as is.
Atleast thats how i understood it.

I agree with you there, option 2 is the worst, everyone would get bored and quit
3/4
When TBC comes out they should add maybe 1-2 classic servers so if you don’t want to play TBC you can start ‘a new season’ of classic. They should also condensed/merge the old servers as I doubt there will be enough players to sustain them when TBC comes outside so instead of having 25 graveyards there could be 2-3 vanilla servers going. Then do the same for TBC when WOTLK comes out. Then after WOTLK ends just keep adding a new ‘season’ every year or so.
Option 5. Locked into phase 2 with none of that pet normalization crap.
2 and 4.
Seasonal servers are not as fun as people think. Most don’t realize it but, they only enjoy them because the last 2 raid tiers destroy the game.

I don’t see the appeal of seasonal servers…at all.

TBC and Wrath as new servers with character copy so we can play vanilla, TBC or Wrath at will and noone is forced into an expansion they don’t want.

I see seasonal servers as a very attractive option for a handful of servers that would have a dedicated following of players. Just not something for everyone, kind of like pvp servers.
Most people here will probably go for #1 if pressed, but understand that Blizz will likely never put the money in to make it.
The most likely final outcome IMO is progression servers that go from Vanilla through Wrath.

1 like osrs did but keep things relatively the same class wise, graphics wise etc and just add new raids with new bosses and mechanics. 3 Wipe the server every x years so things dont stagnate, and run through the patch cycles.
