Which is the worst state for a Zombie apocalypse?

the only on-board energy source that will let you stay at sea for years is a nuclear reactor. you can’t stockpile enough liquid fuel to run for very long

You also have to hope no one dies and turns into a zombie. If you have an outbreak on a ship there is nowhere to go. :+1: :grinning:

Never said it’d last forever.

Of course you’d need to return to land to replenish supplies, but for the duration of your stay on the sea, you’re arguably in the safest possible position vs zombies. That’s assuming you make the effort to check the boat for stowaways before leaving for sea.

So, Mad Max zombie edition?

Yeah at the start you would be safer, but that’s not going to last.

My luck I would have stowaways lol. :grinning:

I feel like zombies would just freeze to a point of not being able to move, I mean technically if they’re dead they aren’t producing any heat.

Also possible that you could be boarded. Other survivors can be just as dangerous if not more so than zombies.

A realistic one would be over after a good hard freeze.

Yeah, I was going to say whatever states that have a gun ban will be in trouble. States that are allowed to have weapons will be just fine.

Yeah, it wouldn’t be like the Walking Dead. Without cell replication they would decay fairly quickly even if they had some sort of preservation mechanism.

You could argue that you only need enough fuel to get out to sea and back. Could park and drop anchor and just turn off engines. Don’t even need to go super far out unless you wanted to stay out of sight of bandits.

Yeah, the lack of electricity would suck, but it’s not a necessity to survival. No nuclear reactor needed to stay mostly on the water for a good while, with the exception of returns to land for scavenging.

North would be best.

Zombies can’t move in cold without blood circulation.

South would be bad, as would populated areas.

The friction could probably keep them going for a while, but eventually they would just start to fall apart.

I don’t think the worst state would be defined geographically, but more by population critical thinking. Which state now is most in denial about covid? That’s the state I think would be the worst, because if they don’t believe in a virus, they sure as hell not gonna believe there’re zombies.

If you had asked city I would have said NY or LA simply due to the population size and density.

Debatable. People would be pretty quick to believe if they saw the shambling zombies for themselves, regardless of level of education. There’s a big difference when there’s a physical representation of a zombie plague vs. a COVID virus that you can’t see and only really hear about it on the news.

Or at least I would hope.
