Which is superior? Cats or Dogs

I have delicious recipes for both.

Forget that guy. I’ll be damned if I get talked down to by a racist.

Dogs will love you no matter what. Cats make you sneeze and your eyes itchy. It’s not rocket science.

Different times back then. I only care about his works, not his beliefs. He is a brilliant author.

If that’s how he felt about dog owners, I don’t think he’s that brilliant. A jerk and a racist? No thanks.

Both have their pros and cons. We have a single cat but once we get a larger place a dog will be joining us.

I have owned and loved both
I like both but I am defiantly more of a cat person

So, dogs win. I think the thread can be closed now.

To each their own.

Sure, sure. Just for fun, let’s apply this same principal to a girlfriend. Which one would you rather have…

Girlfriend A is loyal to a tee. She’s happy to see you when you get home and laughs at your stupid jokes. She really enjoys the cheap but cute presents you buy her because since she’s not a complete witch, material things aren’t that important. It’s the thought that counts.

Girlfriend B looks at you like you’re an idiot. You’re only there to serve her whims and she rarely reciprocates. She does not find your stupid jokes amusing and for the most part thinks you’re boring.

I never understood people that are like “yeah I like how my cat ignores me and it’s annoying that my dogs like, wants to spend time with me.”

See video for reference:

OMG I remember his videos! This series was the best!

I’ve always loved this video because it sums up how awesome and a bit annoying a dog can be.

However, every cat I’ve been around has acted like the dude in that video.

That relationship would not work out for me. It would get so intellectually stale and boring if someone just laughs at stupid things instead of trying to challenge them into becoming brilliant :joy:

Unfortunate you havent met nice cats though. All of mine have been affectionate and want to be involved in every activity i do all the time

I wouldn’t want either of them. I prefer one that while loyal, doesn’t feel the need to laugh at things that probably aren’t funny.

My cats are always happy to see me and have to be around me at all times (laying on my lap, sitting next to me, sleeping next to me on my bed, etc). My cats also play fetch and provide the best amusement with their antics. My dogs (border collie and bernese mountain dog) are happy for the first 10 seconds they see me and then want to run around in the woods and eat and roll in deer poop . :man_shrugging:

My dog loves to roll in my horse’s crap sometimes. I don’t get that at all.

But I think she figured out years ago that doing this equals bath so she’s mostly knocked it off.

I need your dogs to train mine.

I grew up a cat person. Cats are definitely beautiful.
But, the love from a dog far surpasses any pet.
Birds are annoying.

Yeah can we agree that dogs and cats are both awesome and annoying and birds are the worst?

My kid stuck me with her two birds and OMG I HATES THEM PRECIOUS.

Who am I kidding? It was my husband that stuck me with them since he allowed her to buy 'em :rage:
