Garrisons, actually. The version that made it into the game is at best a skeleton compared to what was planned.

Or also from WoD, maybe Farahlon. It wouldn’t been really neat to see how dramatically that area changed in the transformation into Netherstorm.

But it’s really hard to choose. There’s stuff stretching back the whole history of the game. In WotLK for example, there was an underground Nerubian kingdom that spanned the majority of the continent planned, as well as a raid for Zul’Drak.

There have also been different versions of the things we ultimately did get that got tossed. For instance Ironforge originally had two floors, was considerably more intricate, and had a tram extension that ran out to Gnomeregan. That would’ve been neat to see, but apparently it was found too confusing in player testing, probably because the world map couldn’t handle floors then.

Disarms, profession usefulness, first aid, anti-venoms, actual prowling - instead of invisible running, the ability to use stampeding roar while healing*, mages’ self heals, “Kul’Tiras” being pronounced properly**, and lots of other things that absolutely DID NOT need to be removed or changed.

*It actually saved my druid’s life, and the lives of some of my allies, in a raid once.

**It was much better, when it was pronounced “Kull-turas”. “Kull-teer-as” is a STUPID way to say it.

Going by the responses it seems like there are two interpretations of OP’s question, with the difference being “cut” as in removed from the game or “cut” as in didn’t make it out of development (“laying on the cutting room floor”). I think OP was intending the latter.

The infamous “Corrupted Blood” incident.

OMG that was fun. Hunters got hated on sooooo much for that.

People were legit bummed when they took the servers down to “cure” it

Lmao I completely forgot that Draenor just didn’t have Zangarmarsh for…reasons, and then they were just like “maybe we’ll just call the water the Zangar sea and people won’t notice. You know maybe it was underwater” despite Zangarmarsh very clearly not being at a much lower altitude as say Terrokar forest making the case for it being sunken nullified.

Crass jokes and emotes. Craven cry for virtue points, that.
And of course Metamorphosis, by extension Dark Apotheosis, and Burning Embers.

The plans that they had for either turning Corrupted Ashbringer into Ashbringer or reforging it in TBC/Wrath originally as you can tell based on the Scarlet event.

Azjol-Nerub. It was supposed to be a massive underground zone, spanning most of the continent of Northrend. Instead we got two dungeons and a cave under Icecrown. Yay.

This right here. Had they not cut things out and “ran out of time” WoD would have been one of the best they ever released.
