Which class is stronger death knights or demon hunter

Which is stronger

No idea! I tried to play my Frost DK last night and felt rather squishy and that I wasn’t doing enough damage. But I also haven’t played her in ages. So that’s not the best experience to use. I did just swap her over to Unholy to see if I like it.

My DHs kill everything fast and soul fragments are always healing me, so I never feel like I’m in trouble from dying. But I play them more often, so it’s become second nature.

lore or gameplay?

Both tbh /10

lore: DK unless they are fighting a demon, then DH.
gameplay: it’s hard to compare overall strength, because they just do different things, but probably DH overall (subject to tuning changes in 9.2).

How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?

Oh, lorewise? I don’t know that there’s ever been much of a comparison done. Both types of magic are strong, Illidan and Arthas fighting wasn’t excatly with Illidan on his A-game, so… I don’t know.

Speaking of the lore of who is stronger… how have we never had a rematch between Illidan and Arthas?

It’s honestly such a bummer.

Where’s this at? I’m curious.

Because Arthas is dead and Illidan was on another planet and then locked up.

Death knight! You get 3 specs and demon hunters only get 2

Nothing that time travel or an Echo/Memory couldn’t fix.

Arthas beat Illidan.

Bonus points for not being an elf.

The answer is Death Knight.

Demon Hunter. You only need 4 buttons to clear mythic+ keys.

All throughout the Undead campaign of TFT Arthas is getting weaker and weaker because of the damage done to the Frozen Throne, so neither was he.

Bruh, we have an alternate future-past Grommash Hellscream because the devs thought it would be cool if we got to kill Archimonde “for real” and because Gul’dan is a fun character that they wanted to play around with even though he was dead.

I’m sure they could have contrived a reason for these two to clash blades once again. I mean, heck, Illidan and Arthas were both “dead” at the same time prior to this nonsense retcon of what the Shadowlands are. It would have been super cool if they had clashed blades in the spirit realm, as I’ve seen them as major rivals.

Lore wise Arthas was (dk); Illidan to be fair was more concerned with gul’dan and tyrande while arthas was just running around taking over the world.

Mmm… true. Makes me wonder if we need to start gladiator battles between DKs and DHs now to see what happens. LOL

I might do some more research into the schools of magic to see where it all stands. Might be fun!

Not anymore, “bruh.” And I sure don’t want an alternate timeline where they ruin Arthas, since they fail at lore these days.

I know nothing about the lore but gameplay wise, DH is much stronger.

What do you mean not anymore? He’ll be back. He was captured by the Light but he’s likely just their prisoner. It is starting to become a habit of rescuing him.

Honestly, even just a fight between Illidan and some kind of Remnant of the Lich King could have been really awesome fan-service. Legion definitely would have been the time to do it though - some Dreadlord dredging up some part of Illidan’s old foe to throw him off balance and mess with his head a bit.
