Not a “I’m quitting” post, just wondering where everyone’s spot is and why? What’s the signifigance?
When I quit back in Cata I logged my character off in Camp Tunka’lo, Stormpeaks.
Sat in the little log chair in the Loremaster’s tent, that spot always felt super homie, and Storm Peaks is such a beaufiful zone, ranging from the music to the overall aesthetic.

So the last time I quit the game, I parked Fenny in his farm in Pandaria. I think I’ll go back there again this time.

Orgrimmar or the Crossroads.

My favourite song is critical mistakes by 888 where the chorus goes on about wanting a house on a hill by the ocean
So i’ll find a nice house on a hill by the ocean and log out there

Grizzly Hills. If only we could go back to such simple times. Amberpine Lodge was the song of my teenage years.

I’m gonno put my main on the edge of a Teldrassil branch overlooking the sea in quiet contemplation about where it all went wrong.

In my younger years, during 'Niller, I would get too drunk and try to solo Scholomance before passing out. Logging in at the graveyard with all red gear became a sort of drunken conversation with my sober self, I think. Probably a good spot to retire.

Different toons would go to different places -
The Farm in Pandaland
Garrison
My happy spot in Jade Forest
The Faerie Circle in Tirisfal Glade
The island off the coast of Desolace
So many places lol.

I don’t retire because I never unsubbed
Stayed subbed throughout WoD when content dried up
Stayed subbed in BfA when people swore it was the worst
Shadowlands will not be any different

It’s just a place I used to sit while I would queue for battlegrounds and dungeons. It was just really pretty.

My main goes next to the entrance of Warsong Gulch.
I love that battleground, and she’s a night elf druid. Ashenvale has always had a soft spot in my heart, and I like the thought that Anyaka would keep it going without me. Or at least that she deserves to stay in the forest she’s been attached to for so many years. I’ve parked her there both times I took off.
(Also, I once went on vacation, but my battletag group reported that Anyaka’s location stayed as Warsong Gulch for the entire two weeks.)

Kneeling in the Heart of the Forest’s throne room. I shall serve even as WoW’s multiverse implodes on itself.

Not when I quit, but when the game finally dies after the heat death of the universe, my crew is going to charter a ship from the Dranei to take us all to Auberean ( I know it’s still out there somewhere!) where we will all join my dozens of characters there at my mansion and party like it’s 1999. They are all mostly “humans” but I guess we’ll have to just get used to it.

All my characters will retire in their garrison.

Last time I quit was in Cataclysm, had enough, everyone I knew left and I didn’t want to start over, the world changed, was more me than wow.
The spot held no significance to me other than when I came back, the bad from the times took me a bit to shake. So no, I won’t be logging out at the chapel in the eastern plague lands.
Honestly, without housing, I guess I would go to the garrison to die. Always loved the music of WoD, it’s got a jukebox if I get bored. Fishing if I tire of herbs and mining. Better memories were had in that expac before everyone I knew quit again. Wouldn’t be a bad place to retire the main.

depends on the character. like, my goblin shaman? he’ll be parked in thunder bluff. sure, he’s a goblin, but he’s a shaman first, and knows that the tauren will teach him more about what that means… even if his totems are more for ‘helping’ the elements, than showing reverance.
my pally here? zuldazar. love the zone, it’s music, it’s a holy place for trolls, just fits him. my monks are staying at the shrine of two moons and their garrisons. vale of eternal blossoms is a place that radiates power and warmth, so my vulpera monk’s staying there (he likes to be warm) and my pandaren is sticking with his garrison, since it’s just so home-y.
