Where will your character retire?

Probably elwynn forest. There are prettier places but that place gives me warm WoW fuzzies.

goldshire. yes, it’s a place full of degenerates and trolls, but it’s also full of good people as well… also, i mostly hang-out there anyway, so it’s pretty-dang home-y to me.

Nowhere special, if I knew I was dying soon ahead of time (the only way I’ll ever stop playing wow) I’d delete the account because I don’t want anyone else playing my account after I’m gone.

Judging by the last few times I’ve logged out (mainly raid logging at this point) it’ll be like 20 steps from the boss, right where I rez lol

Thunder Bluff for all my characters. Many are BEs but still, TB.

Because it’s peaceful and the most normal, happy place in WoW.

Probably the WoD garrison. It was the best expansion for my husband and I, a ton of good memories and I think the Alliance garrison is just beautiful. Maybe one of my pandaren will go to the Jade Forest, beautiful as well and so peaceful.

I retired my Paladin to the farm behind deadmines in westfall. It was the place where i fell in love with this game, when i met 4 other pallies doing the quest for virgils fist. That quest took us all over the world together exploring dungeons id not even heard of, in zones ive been, we did it all on foot 1 guy tanked, i played the healer role and the rest dpsed… we were all ret it was an absolute blast we wiped, but kept getting up and pushed till get got it stuck together until we all were standing outside of IF posing and dueling with our new weapon.

Ive not picked an area for my hunter or monk yet, but i was thinking the icecrown tournament grounds for my hunter and somewhere in pandaria for my monk, possibly overlooking the wall for the next invasion.

Honestly, I’d probably go clear out Arthas from ICC one last time and park my body on or in front of the Frozen Throne.

Although I was playing a different character at the time, I spent a lot of time in ICC when it was live and I can’t think of a better place for that last vision of Beaupeep before she’s gone forever.

In one of those mansions in the mountains above Suramar. It’s beautiful, serene and the city is right there if I need to take in some high culture. Looking at all the children playing and wondering how many of their parents we saved back then. It was a good life, no regrets.

Sholazar Basin. Every time I fly through there and the music starts, it takes me back to being a kid. Would love to listen to it as I log out for the last time.

Sad that the only way we’ll be able to retire is virtually.

You know, um…

scuffs foot

My farm house is kinda on a hill, and it’s on an island so pretty much near the ocean…

Assuming Blizzard doesn’t open up an acceptable version of player housing?

Hmm.

Yeah. I’m gonna have to have a think about this one.

It can’t be anywhere on Azeroth because people will just keep lining up at my door wanting to be the first to yell “CHAMPION! THE FATE OF AZEROTH IS AT STAKE! YOU NEED TO (insert thing here)!” And that’s assuming Azeroth doesn’t wake up, roll over, and scratch her butt before going back to sleep wiping out all life – me included. No, that won’t do.

Outlands is out. It’s not even a planet anymore, just a bunch of floating rocks. Eventually they’re going to realize they’re in space without a planetary core to either hold them together or maintain a consistent stellar orbit. Eventually that place is going to freeze or drift into its sun and be incinerated.

It can’t be on the Vindicaar, that thing doesn’t even have a bathroom. Plus, I’m not sure trusting me with a working Death Ray is the best idea. When you have a really big sparkly hammer, all your problems start to look like nails.

Shadowlands is out. If I get annoyed and kill someone, I don’t want to have to deal with them again 2 minutes later. Plus, let’s look at the areas?

Oribos is just too circular. It’s a perfect metaphor for “Things Never End” right down to the name which happens to be a bastardization of “Oriboros”. I’d prefer to do something once, and not have to do it again. I know it’s a novel concept.

Ardenweald reminds me of Teldrassil. And I really don’t want to go out on the devs telling me “Neener Neener”. Bastion at least has clean water, but it has the same problem as the Vindicaar, no bathrooms. I guess angels don’t poop. Maldraxxus has the opposite problem, it’s one big festering cess pit. Revendreth on the other hand needs a bit more soft lighting and a maid to dust the place once in a while but the people there aren’t having it. So no.

Yeah, I guess just AU Draenor? Maybe I’ll move a bed into my Garrison. At least it has an outhouse. Plus, there’s an army of people there who can take care of me when I turn fully into a doddering old senile codger.

My happy place is outside the barber/bank/BS by the well in Legion Dalaran. I am there at least once every time I sign in, selling crap to the flower vendor, visit the bank, barber, AH (I’m an engineer), etc.

I’d have an apartment in walking distance from there.
