I am a Void Elf HOLY PRIEST. I am a race that took on the Void, FULLY! Yet I am a completely Holy based space. I also have a Lightforged Draenai SHADOW PRIEST! HOW? I took on the Light yet here I am being a shadowy zappy boi.
An example of a dungeon boss who was a top tier wielder of holy power and changed to void mid fight was Archbishop Benedictus. A massive holy figure in the Alliance.
I also have a Goblin Shaman… A GOBLIN! I am a race known for making ecological disasters, pollution, machines, etc, yet I’m somehow able to conjure the elements and spirits of nature. NOICE!
Point is, any race is capable of being ANYTHING, you could have lore that says a race shouldn’t do something because of X, but if there’s anything to know about WarCraft lore, ther’es always fringe characters that can be with one group, but practice stuff on the side in secret. There’s always going to be a character that is willing to explore the unknown and do what hasn’t been done, there’s always a figure of some power that turns to another power. It’s been this way forever.
NUFF SAID
Can’t wait to roll Draenai, Lightforged, Mag’har, and Tauren Warlocks. I have many alts with “contradicting” specs to their respective races and I think it’s great.
People seem to forget Twilight magic, which is Light + Void, has been a thing since at least Cataclysm. It’s incredibly unstable and dangerous, to be sure, but the PC is practically an immortal, god-like murder hobo, so minor details like that don’t matter.
Everyone saying there’s all these magics and deals etc to justify combining opposing powers ETC and yet somehow can’t figure out that is exactly how these new warlock races will pan out? Interesting… LOL
Void elf and lightforged priests got a pass as far as I could tell because despite being able to be a holy void elf priest or a shadow lightforged priest it would be far more incoherent to not be able to be a void elf shadow priest or lightforged holy priest.
lightforged warlock is funny and it’d be cool if they could actually make a real justification of it, give it some of those lightforged creepy undertones with a warlock that brainwashes their demons with holy energy or something.
Youre a troll because youre using an alt to yell at people about a controversial topic that there are other threads already discussing.
You filled your OP with aggressive statements and used a flawed argument which you undoubtedly knew.
So it’s okay to break the lore in some cases by both of your admissions lmaoooo
i mean we got an undead paladin in Sir Zeliek and a holy nathrezim in Lothraxion for just a couple examples, LF Draenei Warlocks etc are by zero means a stretch.
But yeah if LF Draenei get demons lookin like Lothraxion that would be really neat
When the class has something that makes sense for that race, yeah a non canon spec isnt a huge deal.
If a race has no business being any spec, then none of the class works on that character.
