Where solo queues (1v1, 2v2, 3v3)???

Sure, 5v5 as well. I won’t play it due to blizzard’s macro restrictions. I would however play arena duels.

I too would enjoy being able to pvp during the pvp expansion. We all know that bgs aren’t fun even when targeting isn’t as broken as it is now. Are the sweats paying blizz to not give us a skirmish button so they have casuals to queue against in rated?

Not new like how blizz ruined pet classes (every class in my case) by destroying /click macros in cataclysm, but the 255 character limit makes @arena12345 macros a non option.
It looks to me like they aren’t going to do anything for those of us who enjoy small scale pvp. Then they’re going to ruin all our toons with WoD character models, or worse.
At this moment I have no plans to renew my sub, which is too bad because I love this game but not the way they want me to play it.
Still an option just less automated than before.
I just use specific target macro Arena 1,2,3,4,5 to change targets and then execute spells that way. Also focus arena etc.

I’ve done this. WoW is my favorite game because of and when it is mechanically smooth. I like that with the right setup and muscle memory you can just think what you want to do and your will is done.
Cursor gameplay is dogshards. I use a weakaura to show where my cursor is hidden when right clicking so I can launch a reticle spell without playing silly games with right click.
I won’t participate in executing 3+ actions (tar@arena5, cast spell, make sure it activated, identify the arena# of your previous target and then retarget them) to cast one spell, potentially hundreds of times in a match. It’s not fun, and I am honestly bad at it.
That being said, I don’t need 5v5 and I’m happy to let you be the king of the hill. There’s value in solo and skirmish queues.
The saddest part is that pvp enjoyers will have to scratch and claw for a chance at these features when they should already have them and instead be explaining to blizzard that they don’t want to be doing rep grinds and other pve chores.
Brilliantly, the devs will add a system like pet battles instead of addressing simple needs, and when a new bug is discovered in the arena, they will spend our resources inventing new pet battle problems and then later fix those. We’ll address ignite munching when we rerelease the game in a decade.
Solo queue hype.
The amount of bugs in PVP is kinda sad… like really really embarrassing.

I could forgive this if there was an effort to make pvp leveling available and popular.
What have you enjoyed the most about mop and would you enjoy that more if you could do it a skirmish?
Arena and BG’s, and if there were solo Q I would do that too.
1v1 arena tho… nah not at all. It would just be all healers playing slap and tickle to dampening.

I’m not a fan of shadow blades and a few other abilities but overall class design is great. Lets play these sweet classes in some solo queues.
What if you thought of it as easy access to dueling? Player’s love to duel and they have the option to decline duels that they are not interested in. Just as players used to be able to blacklist bgs, when queueing for a duel they could blacklist any class or spec. A dueling hub, with a respective hubhearthstone would be even better or a great addition to duel queueing.
At least add a group finder in PvP, that was the one thing I was like WTF they didn’t have one. (I didn’t start getting into arenas hardcore until end of WoD/Legion—did they not have this in OG MoP?)
2nd request is to add arena skirmishes. Besides practice, it’s the best way to test & play around with arena binds/macros, UI, etc.
^^These two things alone would give a huge boost to MoP PvP. Hopefully, they add one or both in a future patch.

You can make individual macros for arena 1-5 and just bind them separately to Action Bar 5 (for example), then hide Action Bar 5 to reduce UI clutter.
Or, make an arena1-3 macro for 3v3’s (if you can fit it in one) and add the extra two for 5v5 individually to Action Bar 5.
Example:

/cast [nomod, @arena1] Death Grip
/cast [mod:ctrl, @arena2] Death Grip
/cast [mod:shift, @arena3] Death Grip
Then make two more:
#showtooltip
/cast [@arena4] Death Grip
#showtooltip
/cast [@arena5] Death Grip
Bind these to Action Bar 5 with whatever keybind+modifier combo you want (e.g., Alt+1 if the arena1-3 macro is bound to 1).
