We didn’t see anything tear through any fleeing or surrendering civilians. We saw them fighting armed, and hostile Zandalari trolls.
You keep saying that - pinned in their huts, corralled in their huts - which implies the Dark Iron were trying to imprison or restrain the non-combatants, not kill them.
People bring up Alliance races in Stormwind tabards all the time but non-orc/Darkspear/tauren in Org tabards bother me just a much. I will never not hate that quest.
Stormwind’s been set on fire twice before, so it’s not like it’s out of WoW’s realm of possibility that magic fire could have been used to torch Dazor’alor if they really wanted to. They just didn’t.
It wouldn’t make sense for Jaina to do that and follow it up with easing up on the attack to give the trolls time to grieve.
I mean, Dazar’alor is covered in (and surrounded by) plants; we could just use the same stuff that made Teldrassil go up like a pitch-soaked torch and wait for all the stone buildings to turn into ovens.
Stormwind, with buildings made of Wood AND Stone.
Yes, at most they could have set fire to several places and scorched some buildings, last I checked, Stormwind didn’t burn to the ground after Zul placed a torch in a special location.
Yes, not like they left the Zandalari alone after they got them into their huts, considering the Fire elementals and corehounds are still attacking them.
Or Dark Irons are just one of those Alliance races who don’t care about morality or casualties of war as long as the result is victory, considering most of the Alliance express concern for civilian deaths but such a motto does not fit how Dark Irons think or act.
Doesn’t matter, Dark Iron are now part of the Alliance, and thusly it is the Alliance’s duty to keep their soldiers in check, at least Sylvanas has the common courtesy to execute those who go against her wishes, even GARROSH did it with Kromgar… GARROSH! Let that sink in.
Also, the Gnomes are not much better, letting loose a wild animal the size of King Kong on a empire who had nothing to do with Grong’s plight, but hey, the dumb beast couldn’t tell apart friend or foe at this point, considering he was willing to kill the player who he considered a friend before he was turned into a dumb animal. You want to tell me that this beast was able to tell apart civilians and combatants? Drill a few air-holes into your skull, I think you need to vent some hot air.
I’m so ready to read this rebuttal to everything evil the Horde accuses the Alliance of doing. Literally no way to top it. It’s just gonna be looming over everyone’s heads, an ever-present trap card flipped and untapped, from now until WoW returns to tallywacking dust.
Thanks Blizzard.
The only answer is not to care. Blizzard tapped the least cared about city in the game beyond Exodar, and only didn’t select exodar because they’re renowned for being unwilling to touch either Silvermoon or Exodar.
No Alliance besides night elf fans cared before we burned teldrassil. Even a week before. I asked in trade on multiple serves, WRA not least amongst them. The resounding overburdened response was that people were far more excited to be depriving the Horde of Lordaeron, than sad about Teldrassil.
Even now? Gharion doesn’t care about Teldrassil. It’s just a martyr card.
So don’t care.
hey, don’t forget the worgens! at least i value my nelfs comrades that saved us in our time of need.
Hey now, this dk used to be a worgen before i race changed to human bc i didn’t like how plate looked on worgen males. When the quest asked me to save the 1000 civilians and i couldn’t even save 40 hit me pretty hard, personally.
Dont you go putting words in my mouth when i was clearly memeing.
That’s a response from the point of view of the players, though. I’m talking about in-lore issues of moral balance and in-character sentiments.
I know. We can’t fix it. So, just don’t care.
Fair enough. I’m just gonna go back to reading my fanfiction now.
Finally the Night Elves are useful for something.
Look, if I can’t get a hot night elf girlfriend for some quite literally star-crossed loving on the rocky bank of a moonpool in Ashenvale while our respective sides stopped killing each other over lumber (which apparently isn’t even a conflict anymore since the Horde is burning all the lumber), I can at least crawl into a hole of wish fulfillment where Blizzard can’t hurt me and never come out.
Blizzard will always hurt you. No matter where you are.
Even in character, why should we care about the Night Elves, so far they have always been racist, snobby and overall unpleasant to deal with. So why? None of my Orcs care about these Night Elves in character, the only Horde character I have who gives a smidge is my Blackrock Orc, and not because he hates the loss of life but because it was a waste of lumber.
I didn’t think he could sink lower, but Gosh’s petulant rage has reached new depths since I last read this thread.
If you’re gonna have any form of credibility, maybe try maturity for a change.
Lemme guess though, reported?
