Where is our latin server, Blizzard? [in Classic]

hahahahahahahaha :rofl::joy:

Latine servo? Tu putas te: te autem non faciam.

Does Vatican City really need it’s own server?

At this point, I dont know if you guys are being ironic or smth.

Of course this is a language issue, but this is also a ping problem. Latin players should be able to play with less delay - as we do in retail.

any news on when?

You kidding? in retail latin servers are hosted in USA. We have terrible ping 200+.

Nobody is going to change realms if the ping is the same as in a NA server.

Bump. We want to play with less than 100 ms, people that play subscription-based MMOs are educated enough to speak English, even in miserable countries like Brazil.

I mean, 15 years later and we still get the same slap in the face… Did you guys know Amazon has an EC2 region down here in São Paulo for over a decade? Just gimme the frickin keys and access to the server repo (and a signed document you won’t fricking sue me) and I’ll have it up and running for you within the week, free of charge.

It’s over now. Realm is up and ping is the same as BFA, 160-200 ms for southernmost latam.
Not worth transfering imo, realm will be pretty small and ping is the same.

Wouldn’t a Vatican City server require all players to roll as priests?

If you want the South American community to migrate, you must offer improvements (read better latency - lower 80ms). Otherwise, players will not migrate.

1.- Because we have a bigger community. Not large by any means, especially if you compare it to the French, British and German playerbases but still larger than the Latin American community by a substantial margin.

In retail, LATAM servers have one full server which is Ragnaros and two other medium to low pop servers, Brazil has 5 servers, two being low pop. Spain has 12 close to full servers and that’s taking into account that Spain is a minuscule country compared to, for example, Brazil.

2.- We have the distance factor in our favor. Having France as neighbors, we can at least expect blizzard to host a server there and that’s just as good as having a local one since the distances are so small. Hell, even if our server was hosted in Germany, we’d be fine with that, all 3 countries combined are still smaller than the US alone.

Bonjourno Senor Morthadela,

El Latino server-o, esta coming-o soon-o. por favor.

Olay!
