Sorry. thanks for the info. I didn’t have time to read/see anything referring to that as the Tanks keep moving and engaging before I have a chance to absorb what’s happening.
Where’s Da Thundah King?
That kinda makes sense then.
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Ner’zhul was quietly retconned to oblivion. I mean remember that the Lich King armor was created specifically to house Ner’zhul’s soul as punishment by Kil’Jaeden, but now the armor and Frostmourne for that matter existed before that which is completely blowing up the lore.
Ner’zhul has to be one of the most unappreciated and woefully under-used villains of the Warcraft series. We really need to see a lot more of him, and we ‘should’ see it in the Shadowlands if anywhere.
Sad to see this, since his shadow falls on so many plot points done in the past 30 years.
I agree, he’s taken a backseat to Gul’dan forever. I’d love to see him rear his head again but like someone said above, they seem to have retconned the origin of the Lich King’s armor so I don’t know how he fits in anymore.
(And I really did thing Arthas destroyed his soul, shows you how much I remember, lol)
I hope nathanos to show up again. Killing him once was too easy.
Let’s give him the big true death
I hope he’s in his Barbie Dream form (lol Ken?) as in his pre-undeath human form and we perma kill him so he can never return.
Yeah I don’t care for him.

His consciousness merged with Arthas’ in the helm, didn’t it? I thought I remember that being a thing in the Arthas book.
You don’t thnk those that excel in their mortal lives can excel in the afterlife?
His will remained and was able to push Ner’zhul down to the point that it was “a whisper” according to Chronicle.
There was that scene with Arthas, Ner’zhul and a young Arthas sitting around a table. I thought after Arthas destroyed his younger self he turned on Ner’zhul… now I want to get the book out to see.
Not sure I trust the chronicles books anymore after those were retconned. Along with basically all of the other lore they’ve ever written, really.
Yeah that’s probably the scene I’m thinking of too.
Isnt the entire Night Fae covenant campaign about her.
Half is about her, half is about Vol’jin.
His Younger Self being slain was referred to by the book as the last piece of Arthas’s Soul being shoved into Frostmourne!
Arthas’s Soulless Body shoved his last chunk of Soul(which was clearly too weak to control the Body as the Body gained it’s own consciousness) into Frostmourne then attempted to do the same to Ner’zhul!
Of course a Soulless Body couldn’t unleash the full might of the Scourge there and then due to the risk of being possessed by the Jailer so Lich King Arthas held back the Scourge!
Once Arthas’s Soul returned to his Body(after Frostmourne’s breaking) the Soul took the form of the Body in it’s last moments before being thrown into the Maw being ripped apart so quickly that by the time Sylvanas found it in Edge of Night only the last Soul Fragment to become part of Frostmourne remained.
Right now all that’s left of Arthas after the Stygia was hacked off him is the Shade formed from his Anima!
Relaaax the xpac just started they are saving important characters like them for later on
You haven’t played night fae then.
In a hole…
The plot hole!
He’ll be carrying Sylvanas around on his back.
