Where is Nathanos, Arthas, and Ner'zhul in Shadowlands?

Are we going to see the simp lord again inside shadowlands?
How about Arthas and Ner’zhul?

obvious future raid/dungeon bosses. Especially Arthas with all the focus on the Icecrown/undead aesthetics. I predict we will get a dungeon where we team up with good/redeemed arthas and have to clear a dungeon, ala the Caverns of Time Stratholme dungeon.

100% confirmed we will see Nathanos again. Just might be in a later patch. Remember we also haven’t seen Tyrande and she is most likely going to be centered in a patch.

Arthas, has been pseudo-confirmed to not be a main character of any sort in the expansion. Dev were clear they respect the character enough to tread carefully around his story. You might see mentions of him, like the Bastion video. Uther is shaping to be a more important character than Arthas if I am honest. Don’t hold your breath for an appearance at all. Truth is we have learned that Arthas was just another puppet and he bears no importance to the SL Arc.

Ner’zhul, we don’t even know if he is in the Shadowlands.

They’re somewhere. Whether or not we’ll see them is not guaranteed. Like Nathanos and Arthas are good possibilities, but I doubt Ner’zhul will come into the picture. Nathanos I could see being a raid boss in some new form.

We’re still at the beginning of the story though. As we get deeper into the Maw they may appear.

The dude died literally at the end of the last expansion, and has been a pretty major character leading us to this expansion. Do you really think we won’t see him again?

Who cares? This writing is so bad. You go through these places and the lore is that it takes “eons” and such to redeem/reform these souls.

And yet, we see all the who’s who of WoW in positions of power, prestige, and notoriety like that doesn’t apply to any of them. It’s just fan service wrapped in ham-fisted writing. But I guess that’s what happens when you cannibalize what looks to have been an aborted Diablo MMO.

Patch 9.1 or 9.2 is where they are.

maybe not dungeon/raid bosses except for Nath: turns out being thrown into the Maw/being Anima food for Venthir does not do a soul body good (Kael’thas ain’t doing so hot in the raid for example)

i’m certain we’ll see key characters eventually in later campaigns, lore wise we’re just getting settled in with our covenants still

Hint - Arthas makes a showing near the beginning of the Kyrian storyline.

If the Forsworn are going to be useful then we would see a Kyrian Nathanos.

Though that’s if I imagine the Jailer doesn’t survive on the Kyrian’s stupidity and has the Forsworn turning Maw souls into more Kyrians that are the troublesome ones funneling more souls into the Maw.

Uhh, yeah we have seen Tyrande. She appears during the Night Fae covenant campaign, and should be making another appearance in this week’s chapter.

She shows up in the Ardenweald campaign.

New zones. If I recall correctly they’ve implied that there are more realms in the Shadowlands than just the ones we have access to.

Ew I hope not. Arthas doesn’t deserve a redemption arc, these are generally pathetic and ruins well established characters.

I believe Nathanos after dying would have gone right to the Maw. This is where Sylvanas is, so I’m assuming she’d be right there to welcome him to un-un-life.

Maw

Maw

Unknown if his soul even exists anymore

If you’re bowing before the Dragon Queen, you have seen Tyrande. Hint: She’s in the Maw absolutely decimating the Jailer’s army with little effort.
