I still don’t get why people need jj in the first place. Back in the day we didn’t have it and we were just fine. If you hate leveling so much, why not play retail instead?

If you don’t like using JJ then turn it off. If others like it, why does that matter to you?
I mean back in the day everyone had horse and buggy which will get you where you are going just fine why use a car?

We don’t need it, it’s a convenience, yes we did it all back in the day, we get tired of repeating things and JJ is a fun addition to leveling instead of being forced to go to zones you absolutely hate, we get our talents/core skills earlier, turning in 20 quests at once feels amazing, there’s nothing wrong with JJ.

And I do turn it off. I’m not saying it matters to me, just that it seems like a contradiction to play classic wow but ask for a fast leveling experience.
I mean, if there was a community of people wanting to live like we did in the past, it would be weird to see a modern car there.

Back in the day we had 300% xp with Recruit a Friend, which is still missing from wotlk for some reason (as is the two person flying mount).

Need, no we don’t Need it. but as someone who just returned to wow classic its nice to have with CATA coming out soon. I would like to get some LK raiding in before everyone moves on to CATA. JJ will save me weeks of leveling giving me weeks of end game. If I wanted the true “classic” leveling experience I would play regular classic and spend the next 10 months leveling to 60.

That is how some people want to play, they like JJ. I don’t understand why people use facebook, tiktok and the rest of those social media predatory platforms but people do and I don’t make a fuss at it… Grown adults can do what they want (within reason).
I was also around “back in the day” and between vanilla, tbc, Wotlk, and countless other xpac, including classic, classic TBC and classic WoTLK and now SoD - yea, I’ve seen as much of redridge, duratar and the rest that I want to see, so I do enjoy JJ.
It helps me get through the leveling and into the dungeons, raids, holiday and World events, etc faster. It does not mean I want to go that disaster called retail, but I can only kill 200 rib-less bores to get 5 bore ribs, 150 cloth and 45 swords (these bores have apparently swallowed) so many times before it is just unfun.
Fun note, in Lancaster County Pennsylvania, you can find both Amish and Mennonites living in the past with horse and buggies right alongside those who have cars. It is not weird at all, but actually cool.

I still don’t get it because that’s not an argument to have a 50% jj, that’s an argument to have a jj that gets you to level 80 on the first mob that you kill and gives you a mail with full pre raid gear.
It’s also strange that the same community that doesn’t want an expac that massively improved the early leveling zones (cata) is also tired of said leveling zones and wants get through them as fast as possible.

I have an alt addiction. Getting the shakes. Need a JJ fix.
Unlike back in the day some of us have full time jobs, families and other things that take up all our time. But we still want to be able to play a little wow like the old days and we enjoy a boost to leveling. And its not like jj is the only thing that is different with classic wow now. Its a nice option for OGs who have been there done that, but dont want to spend all their free time leveling again.

Any other information you can share kaivax? I’m not going to play sod no matter what “bugs” are showing on wotlk. It’s strange that only new character things broke such as RDF and exp buff though… might be just coincidence…

I am not sure you understand what JJ is then. JJ does not allow you to level to 80 on one mob and get your raid gear. Raids and Dungeons are end game content, and JJ is to get you to that end game faster. If you are not able to understand that, then there is no point in this converstation - it really is not a hard concept.
Let’s not mix and match subjects here. This is about JJ, not Cata zones.
