At some point you should stop feeding the troll. He’s a Wall of No poster who has now transitioned into trying to sabotage the project.
I am totally against updated character models, as it feels they have taken my character away and replaced her with a stranger.
That said, I recently played retail, and there are some models which are definite improvements: the bear models and the hyenas, just to pick two.
The hyenas actually look like hyenas now. And the bears aren’t suffering from Massive Orc-Fang Underbite disease any longer.
However, I assume that we can’t pick and choose, so…I want my old character back. No new graphics, no new models.

i dont care really even in classic wow.i just want to play the best version of wow which is classic wow.
So long as old models are the default and new get all the fun issues sure
I am the OP
Just don’t touch the gameplay, that’s all I’ve been saying since day 1. I really enjoyed Halo Anniversary for doing that, they kept all the movement and physics and ai the same which is part of the fun.
From what I saw of the demo, the graphics are near enough to the original for me. I’m not wild about the water, but that alone isn’t a deal breaker.
New models on the other hand, would have been. They’re just too Disney. They don’t even look Warcraft.
Graphics are just not that important to me. I still enjoy the graphics of the snes Final Fantasy II (US version) from 93. Or the graphics of Baldur’s Gate from 98. There are other things that matter much, much, more to me. such as the story and game play.
With that said, I just like the graphics of the original game better. Taking the character models for example. I liked the rough and ragged look of the Orcs. They looked like they had been to Hell and back. Or the Undead (could be wrong here but I think they were later called from the Lich king expansion) now called the Forsaken. Just looked better, had better facial features.
I always liked the empty eye sockets and the big evil grin facial features. Or the face with all the deep cuts that never fully healed as it looked like a road map of pain and suffering. Just to name a few favorite looks of mine as the Forsaken was my favorite race.
A while back, someone on here noted that in vanilla, the Horde was very much the “monster” faction. I think that jives pretty well with what you’re saying. I actually think that the Blood Elves fit in with the Horde really well as far as background and personality, but their looks change the whole dynamic.
I had messed with the Blood Elves when they came out. I wanted to try out a Paladin. I did enjoy the lore of the of how they became Paladins. So, I agree with you about their background and personality. They are probably consider the most physically appealing of the Horde races. But, I think that plays nicely with their dark heritage.
I support them totally.
It has no impact or change for anyone, except for the player that decides to turn them on.
I do would like to have a toggle on/off option in the menu.
op stands for original post OR poster. so that doesnt answer my question.
what does updated models/graphics, have to do with horde getting paladins?
i have seen a few try to use the classic forums as a way to vent their disdain for certain races and/or class combinations. and i want to remind you that you are in the wrong place for that. classic has nothing to do with anything added after it and even if it did, showing disdain toward the player base for something blizzard added- is asinine. save it for general where GM’s actually see it (aka where real, current feedback matters).
unless of course, you feel the need to jump onto a delusional bandwagon, where mimicking an imaginary stigma is the cool thing to do, simply based on someone else’s play style/choice. but that would just make you a tool.
Or give the option to switch between the two. On the other hand, I don’t care either way. I cared more for the experience, not for how pretty the grass is.
I’d prefer an option that we have with our character models, a toggle.
For those that want a 100% classic experience, they can set an option to be old models and game how it was in 2006. People that want updated textures can game like it’s 2018 (only loads better than bfa). It’s a win-win scenario. Think of it like Classic-Remastered with updated textures and bug fixes.

They couldn’t do it in retail so you can probably assume they won’t do it in classic.
NE/BE lost the ability to toggle in Legion due to the Demonhunter.
Blizzard said the 2 models cannot co-exist.
Classic doesnt have blood elves, or demon hunters. The button to swap between new and old character models existed during WoD I thought.

Classic is running on 7.3.5 which is Legion.
Sh*t, my bad.

You make it sound like it’s an impossible programming task. Give the source to your statement saying that the 2 models cannot co-exist.
I’ve been watching some youtube videos of a player who’s created an addon that allows the old models to be used in BfA. Basically, this repeated sentiment that Blizzard is incapable of producing a working toggle is absolutely bogus. They’re choosing not to, for whatever reason.
