Where do you draw the line?

See the thing is, is if they had just let the lawsuit play out and left it at removing names of NPCs who resemble the harassers and what not this whole thing would’ve blown over and people would have already forgotten about it, no different than Blitzchung. In fact it wasn’t long after the lawsuit that people stopped talking about it. But then they went and started changing names of items and bosses and it’s just a constant reminder of why they’re doing it.

I can’t say a thing about FF14 since I barely made it to lvl 40 and, frankly, a lot of their systems like transmog seems unnecessarily complicated.

But GW2?

Hell yes, I can be a fearsome looking but somewhat dimwitted Charr ranger. I can be a sexy female Norn revenant. I can be a mundane human something.

All of that is great.

But best of all?

I can be Mungus Bungus, a pink afro and bearded Norn Revenant in a hot pink sparkly bodysuit with lime green accents…WITH A BOW THAT SHOOTS PONIES!

Compare that with WoW.

She likes them, she likes the aesthetics of them.

Probably a fan of characters like Red Sojna and Vamperilla.

Curious, what more info are you looking for? I thought she was pretty straight forward on her passion.

They’ve already crossed it, so I’m currently biding my time until my gametime runs out.

The puritanism is only making me see things will continue getting worse in their panic and only cements my decision.

None of these changes caused me to cancel my account. I won’t care about them in a year so why care about them now.

What caused me to cancel my account is the overall gameplay and the thought of actually having to “restart” my 15 year old character again due to borrowed power, the lack of RPG elements, and other game play issues in the current game. I am not interested in playing a lobby game balanced around esports and that is what WOW is becoming.

Just waiting out time until my account expires in May.

No changes of that sort would make me leave. If I leave it’s going to be because of other changes in the game. I mostly play non-human characters so I don’t wear a lot of skimpy armor but FWIW, I don’t think they’ll nerf armokinis. I think they may add more male skimpy armor appearances.

What is the speed limit?

If they removed flying. I think I’d quit but might stick it out.
I can’t imagine any changes like what they’ve done so far, that people are complaining about, would matter to me.

Mine is drawn when they switch things irrelevant to real life(i can accept switching names that reference people they dont want to be associated with)

But the moment big love rocket , my sack is gigantic , etc gets changed , im leaning towards finding another game that doesnt force current reality upon me, especially when i play games to escape it …

If they renaming things like Booty Bay, I’m done.

This dangerous political correctness crusade needs to have reasonable boundaries.

Should they decide to cater to the most easily offended individual in the game it would be time to move on.

transmog and dances. i worked hard for the skimpy transmogs my lady-characters wear, i ain’t giving that up! and as for dances, well… i just adore the goblin-lady dance. the other female dances also, love them too (just not as much).

honestly when was the last good bikini armor put into the game at this point?

There were a couple cute pieces in Legion; a nice plate mini-dress outfit, some tattoo pieces from the Islands, a few others as well that I can think of off-hand.

But it really has slowed down to a trickle.
I needs me a torrential downpour of new outfits to wear. A veritable bikini-tsunami.

WoW needs what the model in Warcarft 3 saw in little pixels, that is, as a JRPG.

  • Sorceresses design as Magical Girls.
  • Warriors Blademaster as Samurais more japanese representation, not more chinese representation for now.
  • this classic orcs grunts.
  • this Belf design.
  • this cinematics.

You can’t ignore when content creators and youtubers like Bellubar and Asmongold betrayed you for FFXIV, when it’s feeding supposed WoWkillers that are stronger than they were in the 2000’s.

COME ON BLIZZARD You need to play the same game, and for that WoW needs a more JRPG environment in the next expansion such as MoP and Pandaria with China.

WoW needs an anime retouch as for a better design of Skimpys armors and not boring The Witcher THREE gears in which we have already had in times of Vanilla and its first expansions.

WoW needs you to be in their fashion without forgetting what they were in the past with RTS.

I just hope that Blizzard understands what they need to NOT change.

We are adults. The overwhelming percentage of WoW players are probably in their 20s or more by this point. The game is rated T for teen content.

I like some skanky armor options. I like some reasonably dirty toon jokes, references, achievements, whatever. Those things are fun as long as they are presented in a fun way and not unfairly targeting any particular group or gender. What I don’t want is a COMPANY that allows people to be the butt of those jokes or to not feel safe / welcome in game or at the work place. ESPECIALLY at the workplace.

If they scrub the game clean, it won’t be the same. I don’t want some heavily-censored soulless MMO that is afraid to make any kind of joke, because they set up a strawman instead of handling their in-house harassment culture.

I don’t know what my line would be regarding more dirty laundry…I was gonna quit about month and a half ago, then my wife talked me into not quitting.

That being said, if they start beefing up the cash shop where it resembles SWTOR, I might quit.

There you go being too sensitive, you’ve proved my point.

I do have a line but rather not post it. For the dark lady.

As Jean Luc says …

The whole pandering thing is extremely concerning since typically companies do this when they know they don’t have a good product to put out.

So for me, it will be 9.2. If they’ve spent this long covering up women and removing emotes but can’t manage to put out a decent product then I’m done. If the future of WoW is a gutted product pandering to twitter to cover for lack of content then I don’t want to be a part of it anymore.
