Where do you draw the line?

I am wondering, out of all the parody threads, out of all the changes made so far…
What change would you draw the line at? What modesty change or nerf to an innuendo joke would make you leave?

My line is very clearly drawn at any sort of nerf to Armorkinis, or any lack of Armorkini added to game in the future. I adore bikini armor. I always have, and I have always very vocally professed my love for that aesthetic.

I would absolutely quit if bikini armor was nerfed, or never added to the game again.
That is my hill to die on.

What is your line? What change would make you quit?

Well, I already have so I guess my line has already been drawn. But it wasn’t from one thing, it was from many things, all adding up to a huge feeling of ennui. Or boredom. Or some other synonym for “the game isn’t fun for me at the moment”.

When I get a sense that it might be fun again, I’ll reconsider resubbing.

But all these relatively minor things they have decided to do? Na, nothing triggered any move towards the Exit for me. Now, if Ion replayed the “no flight going forward” decision from back in WoD I doubt you’d find my attractive Gnome anywhere in game from then on…

What is it about bikini armor that you are so passionate about?

Quick frankly if it was up to me, this game would have a higher age rating.

That effortless badassery that it conveys. That I can defeat whatever big, bad, pixel villain that is thrown at me, while not wearing any sort of heavy armor, because I don’t need it. I can be cute and tough all at the same time.

Consider the concept of the “quit moment”, the moment that everyone who decides never to play some game again has.

The games that are the most successful have the fewest quit moments.

I dont like bikini armor because it takes the immersion for me. Seeing people in bra and panty armor fighting giant monsters that want to end our world is just weird.

I also like alot of full armor sets. With that being said tho if other people want to wear it i couldnt care less.

my make or break isnt even any of these picture / name changes (even though i think they are stupid). Mine breaking point is tied to my guild. if my raiding guild disbands im done too.

Fair enough. I support player choice and agency in how their avatars appear. More customization is a win.

If anything I regularly use is altered or renamed, I’m cancelling all my subs after 17 years.

That means Booty Bay has to keep its name and transmogs can’t change and my Warlock’s succubus must remain unaltered, among many other things.

Thus far, every change has angered me, but none of them have directly impacted me. That is why I’m still here.

If they got rid of gnomes, I would uninstall and quit forever. :man_shrugging:

Gnomes are too cute and they belong in WoW. Get rid? Get ready  :knife:

A few name changes I don’t care about.
My line_______________________________________________________________________________________

  1. Flirt lines get toned down.
  2. Mogs get less skimpy.(Only exception is female gnomes since they look rather childlike)
  3. They start changing the personality of characters to be more conservative.
  4. They start retconning important stuff cause of this mentality.
  5. They start censoring the pinup goblin portraits.

All of the discussion about fruit and armour and names hasn’t really gotten much of a response outside stupid replies from me. I don’t think there really is a line I just get bored. WoW is a good game, I have a lot of fun playing, just gets old from time to time.

It a shame though if you feel that something you care about could be removed or altered. It would just be pretty lame I guess.

“Two things… If they get rid of Sylvanas and the Forsaken, and if they get rid of flying. Either of these things happen I am gone.”

That’d be quite the loss. :eyes:

I pretty much take breaks when I want. I come back and play when I want. I’ve missed a couple of launches cause of this, but I don’t mind. I still get to see the content. Which I gave a shout out to neat weapons getting added in the new raid the other day. Overall the more time I spend in the raid the more I like it. Sometimes I get the complete opposite and I get pretty tired of the raids.(drag feet while running) SL has been pretty good for this overall. (raids) So it’s a bit sad people are going, but it’s understandable. When late to the party and probably some other factors for other people. It’s a really nice raid tho.

I’m in the same boat. The other changes are annoying and unnecessary.

If Armorkini and Warlock pet succubus go, I’ll just quit and go to a specific game.

I’m seeing a lot of things mentioned here that are simply unthinkable.

Those sorts of things would probably make everyone quit. I’d quit if they got rid of Demon Hunters, Pandaren, or Vulpera. But why would that ever happen since that class and those races are a significant portion of their product’s digital asset package and represent a significant investment of time and resources?

I have never liked ‘earning’ flying back. It feels way more like some punishment has been lifted, than any sort of deserved accomplishment.
