Where do I go for help?

I have a number of issues and can’t follow this forum because it’s really difficult to work out. So I don’t know where these should go.

ISSUE 1.
I am getting daily warnings from an automated AI program (from Blizzard) saying I have been reported for breaching the code of conduct and using inappropriate, abusive or vulgar language and to knock it off or else.

I have not said anything bad on chat or even in pvp. I didn’t say anything at all for the last 24 hours and I still got another warning today when I logged on.

The reporting system is automated (as stated by Blizzard).
People are mis-using the reporting system and spamming false reports. I have been reported for saying things like LOL, offering a free trinket on chat, and even saying I love Blizzard. I got reported for saying "Yay, so and so is back. They were a friend and someone I hadn’t seen for a long time but I got reported for saying “Yay they are back”. That person is actually a popular player in the game and lots of people said welcome back or hey, it’s great to see you again.

Someone is spamming false reports against me and the automated system is accepting them without even looking at them or understanding what is said.

This happened over a year ago too and I got banned for a month. When I appealed the ban, I got an automated reply saying “This is about an appeal. Our decisions stands” and the ticket was closed.

I submitted another ticket and in the first sentence, said “This is not an appeal. I simply want to know what part of the code of conduct I have breached so I don’t do this again. I repeat, this is not an appeal”.
I got another automated response saying this is about an appeal and the ticket was closed.

Eventually several months and a few more tickets after the ban had been lifted, a person actually responded to a ticket and said they don’t have to tell me where I have breached the code of conduct, and the ticket got closed.

Other people are being reported too and trade chat is virtually dead now because everyone is afraid of being banned just for saying something on chat. I have spoken to other players in the game and asked why they aren’t on chat anymore and they say they have been reported lots of times and they don’t want to get banned. They haven’t said anything bad either.

This is wrong. I don’t mind having an automated reporting system. However, a real live human with a brain (not an AI program without a brain) should be looking at these reports before people are banned for allegedly breaching the code of conduct when we haven’t actually breached it. They aren’t though. The AI program is accepting all reports as legitimate and issuing warnings and then penalties (bans/ suspensions), and then the AI program is doing the appeals. And it simply copies & pastes and automated response saying the decision made is correct and the penalty stands.

I have tried submitting tickets about this but nobody responds and I simply get the run around because half the links on the customer support area don’t go anywhere or they simply go back to the customer support window.

I haven’t been suspended or banned currently and don’t want to be, which is why I am coming on here asking for help. Nobody from customer support (via tickets) is helping. The links on customer support for live chat or telephone don’t work. The customer support and game appears to be fully automated now, and this includes bans, suspensions and appeals.

I need help with this and don’t know where to go.

ISSUE 2.
There are a heap of bugs that are adversely affecting my players. Some of these bugs have been going on for over 10 years and they haven’t been fixed. I have submitted hundreds and in some cases thousands of bug reports via the ingame bug reporting system. To this day, the bugs continue. Most of the bugs have been going on for over 6 months and started with the xpac last year. There’s a couple of bugs that have been affecting my worgen rogue since it was made at the end of Lich King/ beginning of CATA.

I have tried to submit bugs via tickets in an attempt to get help and nobody helps. I have been on chat asking for help and people say it’s me and I need to learn how to play. I know how to use my alts and when it’s meant to do something and it doesn’t, that isn’t me.

If Blizzard isn’t fixing the bugs, and tickets aren’t being answered, and people on trade chat don’t offer any help and simply have a go at me claiming I’m an idiot who needs to learn to play, where do I go for help with these bugs?

The telephone system has been gone for several years now because people were misusing it for things it wasn’t meant for - like appeals. Live Chat hasn’t been available since a recent ticket surge, unfortunately.

What you’re wanting - isn’t something you’re going to get resolved via tickets. You’re wanting to offer feedback. That can be done by posting about it on General Discussion or through the in-game suggestion and feedback interface. That’s why you’re getting tickets in an endless loop because that’s not something that GMs accept via tickets.

As for warnings - they’re just that. People can report for anything and everything they want. At worst, you may get temporarily squelched until a GM reviews the reports. But nothing will happen to you if you’re doing nothing. Warnings can come through from you playing on Classic and then switching to Retail. If you’re doing something wrong, then stop. If you’re not? Don’t stress over it too much. Warnings are not marked against your account at all, and staff cannot even see what you’re being reported for unless it gets to a point of a squelch.

The only thing automated about any of the system is the warning system and the automatic squelch. Sanctions are handed down by real live GMs. Appeals are reviewed by real live GMs. This is fact, this isn’t up for debate or to argue over what streamer has done what to prove ya da ya da. We don’t traffic in that nonsense here. We deal with facts set down by the staff.

Bugs are only dealt with by the Devs. By reporting them, your part in it is done. They’re fixed on the Dev’s time table, no one else’s. Posting here about it doesn’t light a fire under anyone’s rear, I’m afraid.

Bugs are triaged. Game breaking ones take higher priority, as do those more widespread than others, and often those with the current expansion have more focus than old ones. But as soon as they figure them out and that there is a fix that doesn’t break fifteen other things, then it will be pushed through. Not a moment sooner.

Please stop. This is again why we lost telephone support, and often times why people who legitimately need live chat can’t get through because of people misusing the systems.

GMs are the only staff that answer tickets.

Devs are the only staff that fix bugs. The only way to reach them is to post in the Bug Report forum. They’re not going to respond, as their forum is one-way reporting.

There are resources out there. WoWhead is the best of them. If you read the comments when you’re stuck on something, there are usually suggested ways in how to go about completing something or really explaining the quest or achievement.

You can come here and ask. There are the quest forums. There are plenty of places. But not through tickets.

Lets go from the top

What u are recieving are warnings yes they are automated

Heres the catch GMS have no way of telling what caused the warning to go out theres no intenal logs.

honestly unless u were actualy silenced again i wouldnt worry too much about the warning just be careful the warning could be from classic to retail.

TBH im surprised u werent given a snippet on why u were actioned when u asked thats a easy enough request.

Now to the bigger issue.

Your right there are bugs that have been around since launch that havent been fixed but blizzard is like a hospitol they triage

Sure curent content takes priority but they gota look at what affecting a huge population of players over whats affecting a smaller ammount of players

Also can they easily repropduce Look at the store xmog bug that stuck around for a couple of years its one thing knowing about it its another thing fixing it.

Sure if would be great if all bugs were gone that have been around for 20yrs but its just not possible…

Most people do not get daily warning of this type. I know i do not and many others do not. Possible things your saying your fellow realm mates do not like!

Can not tell you how many have come here saying they said nothing wrong only to get corrected on that.

So think what your saying before you do.

Bugs happen and in previous xpacs i am sure are not a priority. But report them, also what you call a bug might not be.

Also, characters cannot be “bugged”. That doesn’t make any sense. If there was a bug affecting some sort of rogue ability for instance, it would affect ALL rogues in the game.

Also, saying something is “bugged” is incredible vague, and if it’s been going on as long as you claim it’s likely intended and you just don’t know how things are supposed to work.

Just to touch on this trade chat is for trading only, not general chit chat. That belongs in general or zone chat. If people are being reported for just talking about whatever in trade, that is a valid reason and why some people might be actioned.

That would depend upon what you’re seeing as bugs. Like the face bug you reported in your post history. They might not be true bugs , but design choices.

Suggestions or bug reports placed in game, or the forums, are not tickets that you would get responses.

GM staff don’t make game changes either, so opening tickets for these reports, while getting a response, may not give a response you hoped for.

This post might be helpful to understand

Based on how you post in bug report forum i would say they would ingnore those. A bug report with you attacking will be ingnored.

Bug report should just the basic information and not your feelings or criticism

The official Blue stance on this is that Trade is only the suggested use for the channel. It is not mandatory that people ONLY trade in it. Blizzard does understand that it is one of the only global channels and is used commonly for chatter. Provided people keep it clean, follow the game rules, and avoid inflammatory/trolling stuff, they can chat there.

The restrictions on channel content are for advertising/group finding. Those are pretty specific.

The more you know. Interesting thanks for clarifying. I was under the impression that trade should be strictly for trade, though could vary slightly on the server itself and what they choose to report.

If the op is chatting in trade they could report for that. But unless they say something toxic or cursing they might not do anything. But they would get the warning.
