Where did Consecrated Blade come from?

You’re the only one who made what I feel is a legitimate critic with this alongside the PVP argument.

Nonetheless I feel like this is a pretty mild inconvenience.

I thought it was mildly amusing myself.

If you are talking about me, I switched to my pally character to make the post. As to why it says it is one day old I don’t know. I have had my WoW account for 20 years. Not that is really any of your business how long someone has been playing or posting on the forum.

I guess I just don’t find it funny having my words changed when some change like this has made my main character less fun. If I wanted my attacks pulling every not aggressive mob around me while I was fighting I would play my demon hunter.

Didn’t comment on the age of the account.
Read it back

As for the post count, after the nerfs, a bunch of 1 post accounts came into 1 thread all saying Paly was done for in TWW which is sus AF.

Always glad to see new faces but the timing was suspicious with what I mentioned.

It still could a lot of people like myself that only read the forums rarely and never post or they post on another character. And like myself they were upset enough to say something in a place they thought might get seen by the devs. I don’t come here to post as I don’t care much for drama and forums always seem to have that no matter what the game. I do read them from time to time. I have to say I am finding the forums confusing how they separate each character to do the posting. I am use to most game forums having one account and you post everything under that. I had it set to my hunter for several years not even realizing it did this separate character thing till today. Until today I thought they were more like just an avatar is what i mean.

Yeah, I absolutely see why the pvp players are chafed. For people that primarily (or only) do pve content consecrate is just a damage spell, but for the pvp players it is a very strong utility spell. Losing the ability to use consecration for a personal cc break, healing, breaking stealth, or creating a safe zone around your healer is a big hit to ret.

Perhaps they could make it to where consecrate is still a castable spell, but casting it removes the consecrated blade version from the field? That way it couldn’t be double dipped and manually casting it would cost a gcd, but anybody that wanted to use it for utility still could.

Even in pve that could be useful. On more than one occasion I have dropped a BoJ on a runner or caster (to keep it off the healer) only to drop my consecrate in the middle of nowhere or in the way of a patrol. Being able to manually recast it where I wanted it would have uses.

Yep, its an inconvenience, its not game breaking for PVE in anyway, and like I said, it might have its merits (and demerits, albeit, very smol and niche) in instanced content.

Just asking for an option to turn it off or get rid of consecrate once we leave combat, or have consecrate not put us in combat, don’t think these are big changes that will impact the spec in anyway.

This change is pretty bad, can we not have a choice atleast? I get some may like it, but in many pvp scenarios, it is dooky.

This made me like Paladins, and wings from ash. These two changes made paladins cool.

so now i need to not use BoJ at all, until I want an AOE put down. what a dumb situation they have created.

Yes, absolutely. They could’ve turned it into a buff with no cooldown, allowing players to choose between the baseline active ability Consecration and the passive version Consecrated Blade for an hour or two. But instead, we’re stuck with the increased potential to break friendly crowd controls unless we avoid using Blade of Justice in a lot of situations.

I hate Consecrated Blade.

Bliz populates the world with all sorts of neutral, wandering yellow mobs, and then gives every dps class all these damage vomit abilities that just spew aggro everywhere. Drives me freakin’ nuts.

this seems like a case of different type of players butting heads. con blade is a godsend for raid/m+ and general damage

I think it’s great that it exists. What boggles my mind is that it’s not a talent.

Would be nice if we could toggle it on and off in the spellbook
