Where are you starting in WoTLK: Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord?

Unlike TBC, WoTLK offers you 2 different starting zones you can start your journey to level 80.

Which zone are you going to and why?

Howling Fjord. Anything else is a waste of time

As Alliance or Horde?

Alliance for me

Howling Fjord as alliance 100%. Tundra is bleak looking.

I’ll probably be doing Howling Fjord, as I’ve done BT more - and also I’ll likely be dungeon grinding, and UK is far easier to get into than the Nexus.

That’s nice. As horde, we went to Borean Tundra. Most alliance went Howling Fjord, but we had opposite faction in each zone.

As far as I remember, it is great for dungeon grinding also.

Definitely, it’s the better choice. Mostly because of the intro quests required for the Nexus and the fact that it’s a bit better overall for speed clearing.

They called it Boring Tundra for a reason.

I wanna get choked out by Arthas anyway.

Howling Fjord. The only answer.

howling-fjord will be better for experience but it’s ugly land with annoying looking mobs.

Borean tundra is relaxed cool zone and good for herbs

I’m more familiar with Boring Tundra than Howling Fjord.

Also HF is kind of annoying to navigate.

Either way, it seems that both zones on Grob will be a major battleground.

Warsong Gulch for the first 5 levels, and Arathi Basin for the rest.

Howling Fjord. I want to recapture that feeling I had the very first time with those charging giants.
