Just before the servers went down today, I was in a WSG and someone mentioned that they really hoped same faction BGs would come back in once servers came up. The chat then filled up with a bunch of different people expressing they were at kind of a breaking point with it and if the queues stay the way they are, they’re done. I was surprised at how unanimous that sentiment was. This just seems sad at this point to me- people want to play the game, but the queues are just becoming brutal and its wearing them out. A solution exists, and we all know it does, but nothing is being done.
The way TBC PvP gearing was designed, BGs (and a lot of them) are a necessity. When one faction has dramatically faster queues, that faction also gears up faster. It snowballs, more and more losses happen, which means you gear even slower, etc. Everything about it is just toxic and broken at this point, and I really think this is the end for a lot of people. WoW is a game, people come and go for different reasons at different times, but of all reasons to be driven away from the game, this one seems pretty unfair. It also seems so avoidable.
