I healed before, and its not all that fun. DF is having the same problem though. It just doesnt feel good when the people in your group dont try to make things easier. A good group and you dont have to do all that much, but a bad group on the other hand can make you feel like a failure even if things are completely out of your hands.
Even with that being said I am making trying to get together a healing set.

Playing anything with randoms as a healer or tank is just a miserable experience, I’ll heal/tank for my friends/guild, and I will never play with you even after RDF/LFR releases.

I don’t know about dungeon or raid healing, but in BG’s there is a lack of healers as well.
I theorize it’s because in general healers are treated like crap.
We get yelled at for everything.
I think healers are just fed up with being blamed for everything that goes wrong lol.

Playing a tank with randoms is fine ill tank all day every day. I have no issues with that, but a healer with randoms… yuck. Its just unfun unless you are overgeared. Its the same going into DF a lack of healers.
Because healing for pugs isn’t fun. Especially the degenerates who don’t move away from glaciate.
God I hate that affix with a passion.
