Ya they gave a eta on it.
Once the mega realms are the same size as the other realms ie indefinitely locked.
Blizzard wants mega realms to die out and non to become one again so the mega realm won’t be unlocked for a long time if ever.
Sure open transfers but you cannot bring over any items or gold. Just your character and whatever soul bound items you are wearing.
The issue is not the items being transferred as far as blizzard cares. The server economy’s on mega realms are hardly even impacted from bringing stuff over as bots plus a quite large market. While yes it has a inpact has little if anything to do with the lock so that is a rather moot point.
Blizzard has been clear the lock has everything to do with population levels so the issue is you being able to go over at all regardless of state of what you bring.
