Should I try logging in 2 hours before release? I’m on Faerlina and have a feeling there will be massive ques hours before

No telling how early people will start trying to get in to beat the queues so your best bet is probably to just log in at the earliest convenience and then just try to preoccupy yourself with something for the remaining time

It should be a live start so just get on the server after these restarts and as long as there are no further problems that result in more restarts you should be fine.

What Im confused about is how launch is working. I dont normally get on right at launch but I feel like content launches normally follow a server restart. I guess the boats to northrend will just start running at 6pm eastern in US?

Yes, all the stuff for WOTLK is already in the game so they just need to turn the boats on so we’re good to go without a restart (or should be, we’ll see how the servers handle it)

Im kinda hoping they got people spread out enough to where its not gonna be an issue, but im sure thats overly optimistic.
Its gonna be messy. Only so spread out you can get with only 2 zones. People will be taking boats and zeppelins to these zones en masse. Expect long load times and crashes.

yea im in no rush but youve nailed the likely reality. Luckily there is the choice of two starting zones.
I don’t know which zone people will pick. I expect Borean Tundra will be a mess with the way all of the quests are piled on top of each other so I’ll be going to Howling Fjord but that will also be a mess because I expect more people will go to it.
2 hours before launch? they already changed the launch time before starting the button push to re release old content. Devs today can only reskin and recolor, why all the old glitches and bugs from TBC 15-16 years ago never got dealt with. Im looking forward to all the WOTLK bugs and glitches that got left in because it was acceptable when devs were working on new fresh content. but now its just a bunch of lazy people pushing the re release button and not cleaning up the old bugged glitched game content. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEST GAMING COMPANY EVER!!!
It’s hard to know. You also have the ease of access out of the two major cities for both factions so that may play a factor as well.
I had a guildie tell me that the cities are already packed, but that’s probably people expecting a queue and sitting there all day.
We don’t really know.

I love when people try elaborate queue mitigation plans, and then DC within 15min of getting into the game.
