When will Blizzard re-add other time-limited content?

In original WotLK, the Plagued Proto Drake and Black Proto Drake were no longer attainable upon the launch of Ulduar. Blizzard has now decided that in classic WotLK, that will not be true: these previously time-limited rewards will now be permanently available.

So, to that end, I’d like to know Blizzard’s plans for returning other time-limited content that is no longer attainable:

  1. The Black Battle Tank
  2. The ZA bear
  3. Naxx40
  4. Spirit of Competition and Competitors Tabard
  5. Hand of Adal and Champion of the Naaru titles

If there are other items I am forgetting, please remind me in the comments below. Thank you.

While i hate they are doing it, all of those are not comparable. They either ended with a specific world event, or were removed at the end of the expansion. I figure if they do continue on with cataclysm, they will remove it then.

Even still, i think it’s really lame that people cant have any form of prestige.

Yes, the prestige of the CURRENTLY filled Dalaran with Undying/Immortal titles and “exclusive” drakes.

Bronze Drake is probably the most prestigious one already, because people forget they even have it.

if its so easy, no one can complain if they didnt get it before ulduar.

And now people will continue to get it after Ulduar. Congrats to them!

as someone without immortal, i no longer care about getting it at all.

As someone with Immortal, I never cared.

I hear that they are re-adding the entire expansion so we can have a chance to do it all again.

Oh wait

Thats fair. No one deserves anything unique. Everyone should get the same stuff. Bring on the server of scarablords.

No. God no. Having HELPED with that grind, hell no. May as well petition for the vanilla PvP ranking system to come back, if you’re looking to kill off a few players IRL.

That grind isnt very difficult because now you can just pop into AQ and get the rep for the quest.

When are they adding previous season glad mounts back into the game too? They could even lower the rating requirements to get it for old mounts. Everyone should have everything.

I suggest touching grass. Maybe even just crack a window, breathe in some fresh air.

True. Imagine caring about anything. Cringe!

Yes, imagine caring about limited exclusivity over pixels. Very cringe, unironically.

why care about any pixel, why care about loot, why care about the gameplay. In most aspects, Classic WoW is inherently worse than other mmos. Every rotation is braindead easy, the encounters are braindead easy. Limited exclusivity over pixels in an MMO is easily the most important aspect of an MMO. They should be making content harder, not making it easier. People that achieve things should be rewarded. People should be rewarded when they were there. The only thing anyone can have now are glad mounts.

I like the social aspect of people walking around dalaran on cool mounts, I like people being able to have things others dont. I hate literally everyone having the same things. But thats just my opinion my dude.

This just feels like an arbitrary line to draw. Why remove things at the end of an expansion? How does making Hand of Adal and Champion of the Naaru attainable during WotLK detract from the gameplay experience?

I do not want to reroll and go through all that bullcrap again just so I can get an Atiesh. I want to get my legendary staff. Why won’t Blizzard let me? What good justification is there for preventing me from getting it? If time-limited mounts can be left in the game, why can’t a time-limited raid?

There are plenty of people only got things like that because they knew they would be going away. There are people who wanted things like that, but weren’t able to (which is amazing because post nerf ssc/tk were puggable, and everything else was incredibly easy to do as well). I wouldn’t mind if undying/immortal stayed in the game, but required a naxx ilvl to do, similar to how they do algalon to be honest.

So? How does anyone getting their scarab lord now cheapen the effort you put in a few years ago? They’d still have to do the whole quest chain, farm up all the bug parts, etc.

That is not my issue.

My issue is that, for modern gaming audiences, both Scarab Lord and the Vanilla PvP system were extremely unhealthy and poorly done. Most servers crammed what was meant to be a multi-month long event into 2 or even 1 week.

Blizzard themselves didn’t lock people out of Scarab Lords; the playerbase did. If Blizzard wants to send everyone a Scarab Lord mount in the mail, more power to them. I’ll continue riding my Black War Raptor, ZG Tiger, or engi mount, thanks!
