The fact is that the Alliance side is just fine, racial traits are fine population is fine. We cant help it if you dont engage in BG’s or arenas and frankly the Schadenfreude shown by nearly all the alliance players hear about the egregious wait times for BG that horde has shows that for at least the most part on these forums that the Alliance cannot be seen as anything other then bad actors who dont care about the over all health of the game
Merc Mode will never harm a single Alliance player and there is no direct eivdence from Blizzards data that showed this at all.

I’ve found that a lot of alliance players are actually being very helpful and non-biased. They might offer solutions that you dislike, but that doesn’t mean they’re arguing in bad faith.

No merc mode. Horde are suggesting things to get rid of the remaining alliance population on pvp servers, responding to them with anything else than sheer contempt is naive at best.
We accept way more consequences for choosing alliance in tbc than you do by choosing horde in tbc. That’s why so many alliance are telling you to suck it up.

Now think of it this way…BGs are maybe 4-5% of this game. The phase 2 nonsense existed when bgs didn’t exist, so the world pvp disrupted more than 80% of the game.

This is a Classic version meaning that the features presented at this time didn’t include MERC mode and they shouldn’t include it.
BG Queue problems existed from WoW’s inception, it’s why Alliance has had near instant queue times since forever. Horde players are PvP oriented as the PvP community is largely grouped onto that one faction.
Blizzard has made no real fix to the faction problems over the course of 10+years and it shouldn’t be a fix where one faction can simply disregard the other in terms Honor based combat. I’d consider the Arena environment to be the first MERC mode equivalent of Blizzard not fixing factions but, rather giving a faction exclusivity in PvP domination as well as the ability to acquire high rated gear without having to deal with population disparity.
Phase2 during Vanilla were filled with Alliance players complaining about being ganked and destroyed in hugely populated PvP servers that were 3:1 in favor of Horde. The Horde was response was mixed between “Lawl get owned”, “Suck it up”, “Move to carebear server”, and “Nothing you can do about it.”.
Because you saw this coming Phase 1 of Classic WoW. I am assuming your Troll Mage is from Classic because of the gear, so I assume you knew very well YEARS before TBC launch how it would be. Classic was bad, but Blood Elves would make it worse. Literally everyone interested in TBC knew that. You had years to remedy this situation. You didn’t.
And I myself leveled a BE Paladin to 70. I thought I didn’t care but turns out its just as awful as I expected. So you know what I did? Rerolled back. Come on over, there is plenty of space on the ally from all the people who quit from being camped and losing every single BG.
NOPE, we hear why be alliance, you dont get to win open world, you dont get to win having the most people to find groups, you dont get to win on economy (more listings, more buyers) you dont get to win in BGs. But hey, we can queue whenever we want, thats our one win. Why should you get EVERYTHING? Why should blizzard change the game so you can get EVERYTHING you ever want? Why be alliance, lets all race change to horde so we can all zug together then?
