When we say “mercenary mode”, you hear

No, it’s an intent to deceive. Just like how someone playing Classic asking for Retail is intending to deceive others (or more likely themselves) that they actually want to be playing Classic.

all i hear is , please Blizzard give us Horde a fix at the Alliance expense, who cares if it drives more players away from the Ally pvp player base.

Second post on this useless thread and it’s horde calling people names.

It’s alliance though yall.

I want to be playing classic with features from retail. What is actually bad faith is pretending that retail is the same as classic with features from retail would be, and telling people to “go back to retail” when they ask for such features in classic. That is actual bad faith. Not because I want it and you don’t, but because you know that those things are not remotely similar and say it all the same, pretending they are analogous.

That isn’t Classic.

Oh? Because what, the raid content is bad in Retail? Or the class design? What precisely is it that people dislike about Retail if it isn’t the immediate gratification QoL features that actually detract from the game over time?

When did I say it was? The classic we got wasn’t remotely classic either.

I don’t know what other people like and don’t like; I’m speaking to what I want. Unlike you, I don’t pretend to know what “people” like or dislike, because I don’t argue in bad faith.

^ except for now? :woman_shrugging:

Where is the good faith from the horde? I see non of this finite resource anywhere.

Respect isnt a given, its gotta be earned. If “the horde” want respect on this matter then they shouldnt dance around the issue like this is a game problem and accept ownership of it instead of passing it off.

Like any typical wow player “the horde” frame their stance on some kind of wholesome ideal when the truth is they’re just not getting gear as fast as they think they should be. If you could just admit your entitlement, lack of patience and gear obsession you might get someone to take you seriously.

All I can do is shrug in reply, since my idea of bad faith argument is clearly different to yours. You think there is an intrinsic necessity for classic to remain true to what it was; I don’t. That doesn’t make my position bad faith.

I don’t think I’ve seen any horde player far actively campaign against the idea of opening faction transfers to balance server populations. I could be wrong though. I want lower queue times for myself - the mechanism of achieving that goal is neither here nor there to me; I’d faction transfer in an instant if it were available.

Of course it won’t. Because there won’t be any Alliance players if merc mode were added

Where is the good faith from the horde?[/quote]

There is none. They come in with petty gripes and frenzied whining and still expect to be treated like adults.

Wouldn’t this suggest PvP focused players all decided to stack 1 faction?

Yet, you’ve actually gone to do more.

That’s not what I’ve stated. Though not entirely different I suppose. From my current perspective, it is precisely QoL changes that detract from the experience that is Classic.

As we add them, and as we’ve already seen with the level boosts, and the massive drop in population, people seem to lose interest. Now, I’m not saying that this perspective I currently have is the truth. So let me be clear that I’m only offering my opinion.

No, but that’s also not what I was referring to in my question. Regardless, it’s fine for us to have different opinions and different perspectives, and even to disagree. I like cilantro, some people hate it. They aren’t wrong

I see plenty in the forums who would go Alliance if they didn’t have to re-roll.

I am not opposed to one way horde to alliance limited time transfers.

Tho I don’t think it should be unlimited or available to everyone either. They need to filter it so that it’s not just a bunch of AFK derps who leech because that will only be a temporary fix and not a permanent one.

Reason being is that if Alliance aren’t winning at least half the games they play they will stop Q’n in mass because what’s the point when a large section of your team is AFK or throwing games because “lemme get my free honor and mark”

Those leeches are why Alliance don’t want to Q and instead we do Arena and PvE.

Hope that helps you understand the depth of the problem; this doesn’t event bring up the fact that CRBG is the cause of this problem in the first place. Want to know more about that then I’ll explain tonight

It’s QoL changes that will completely gut one faction while providing the other.

The guy can troll here as much as he likes, but at the end of the day; Factionless WoW isn’t a thing yet in retail. The game is fine. He thinks that if he posts frequently enough, that he’ll get the changes in the game that he wants.

He won’t, but it’s certainly amusing to watch him try.

Retail alliance being an actual dead faction for endgame pve/pvp is your direct evidence.

You are incredibly dishonest. Within the very threads you quote mined for this dog and pony show the long lasting problems that merc mode causes was thoroughly explained

nobody is going to give horde 100% dominance over pvp
