When we gonna get decent new characters? new characters equivalent to Arthas, Illidan, Kael, Grommash?

No. I think setting racial quotas is racist.

That’s what I think. You’re a racist justifying you’re bigotry. Nothing more.

I said there was a period (thats over now) where the supreme court said you can legally discriminate against groups it deemed “too successful.”

People of diverse backgrounds bring diverse ideas based on lived experiences. This is a good thing.

Seems like classic corpo speak, they want to grow their brand, employing diverse attitudes and backgrounds can help with this.

Which means that by adding a more diverse team, they will be able to reflect these communities and hopefully properly interact with them to increase profits.

Diversity is more than race.

You would also have to acknowledge that enough companies were hiring based on race until government protections created the equity that enforced fair and equitable hiring practices.

This is also why Universities are no longer allowed to ask for a picture of you on your application anymore as a requirement. As they would often only enroll specific students of specific background. Same with the workplace.

Its a systemic issue that you clearly care about and should do more independent research on prior to spouting dogwhistles in a forum.

Saying “we must have a diverse team” means that they have racial quotas.

Wtf else do you think it means?

Diversity is more than race.

Yea I mentioned women and LGBT earlier but it’s a mouthful to list um all every time ya know?

God, having one’s dial set to “argue about diversity/woke/DEI/whatever the next buzzword is” all the time must be exhausting.

diversity is more than race man, its a broad definition. Backgrounds, histories, etc. It is way more than race.
A white south african is going to have different experiences and ideas than a white man from the USA.
A person living in Germany of any race is going to have different lived experiences.

You have been conditioned to only see DEI as racially based. You are viewing this to thinly, by design, to properly understand what you are saying.

I have said my piece, pop off if you want to.

Do you seriously think they have that kind of diversity?

You think there is someone at blizzard ensuring there are Trump voters on the team making decisions and republicans being part of the team?

Nah man, it’s race, gender, religion, and LGBT+ status.

Isn’t Illidan coming back? So at least you’ll get an oldie but goodie if that does happen.

As far as good/great characters like them I’d say probably never. Nowadays you have to tiptoe around everyone and everything and if you don’t include everyone just to include everyone you get ripped a new one. Diversity is only good when it isn’t forced and when it happens organically within the story. I do not see that happening ever again.

They removed emotes because it offended players. Come on, ignore and move on but don’t remove stuff. The removal of stuff that offends is the reason you will never see those types of characters again in WoW because they will offend someone.

To be fair. I wish league of legends would remove emotes. Kinda makes me rage.

I did not realize LoL had emotes but I haven’t played in a long time. But just about everyone in that game is griefing and toxic, or at least used to be, so I get what you are saying.

When WoW gets better writers and maybe Tyrande gets killed off for some reason in maybe Midnight…more so the first part though…better writers who don’t keep giving us crap on a plate would mean good characters again. Hopefully without them butchering the characters we’ve already got in the process like they did to Sylvanas. As for why i mention Tyrande dying…I don’t like her…I’d love to see her just die one day as the whole night warrior crud with her was so stupid. She was finally going to die for her hubris or learn that nobody can get god like power for no cost…then they invoke Elune using her body and just like ‘oops i screwed up…oh well i’ll let Tyrande keep my powers or a fraction of them without punishment as she’s the favorite child’…like seriously what is that crap? No drawbacks, no side effects…nope she’s just fine and no longer at risk of exploding… and they forced the entire nightfae campaign to be about her and the elves… god Shadowlands was such crud

Isn’t he busy running an orphanage?

Warcraft 3 characters are old, dead, and running on fumes of old nostalgia.

Most WoW players didn’t start with Warcraft 3, so those were all ‘old’ characters to begin with.

Garrosh, characters that started in WoW, those are the kinds of characters more folks want to see.

Not the 14th time we see Kael or Vashj in the Shadowlands, or stuff like that.

Some characters just need to die already, and we need to move on with new ones.

Haha, no.

Kill more male characters, the bigger and manlier, the better.

New blood > Old blood, in WoW anyway.

Go play Classic, if you want old characters back.

Yeah it’s exhausting and that’s why everyone wishes the left wing identitarians would go away and voted against them.

It’s always funny that the people most invested in DEI also advocate for systemically discriminating against asians, the smallest minority group in the US, with affirmative action. It’s pretty clear proof they don’t care about anything they’re saying, they’re just racists who like specific groups and hate others.

Ditto no complaints about equity in the NBA or other sports which vastly over-represent some groups relative to the population.

Whose Faerin Lothar? As well as The story of the Arathi, pointing back to the OG plots of Warcraft located in Hallowfall? It’s gold.

The characters are hiding in plain sight.

Metzen is kinda back, but not really. He was good at the story writing so there still is hope for new heroes and villains to come. But most of the more popular ones came from the RTS games and so had a decade + to get well known and famous. Very difficult to add in new characters to any game series or movie series or even book or comic book series without multiple people getting upset and saying how that goes against the lore and whatever else.
