When did Blizzard add cross-realm invites through bnet? I’ve been leveling on multiple realms just to play with my friends. Which is fine and dandy I enjoy leveling new characters. but I was curious when this feature was added and why it’s not added to classic.
I believe cross-realm zones and raids was a MoP feature. However, it broke things like the fishing derby (which they axed completely in Retail as a result). That may be why.
As we’ve seen with wrath classic, it doesnt really matter when a feature was added or not in retail.
Fair point xD
Depends. Collections tab is very minor in the grand scheme. Cross-realm zones opens a whole can of worms though.
Cross-realm zones would be pretty minor to tbh. People just want to pretend the world is alive.
A real can of worms would be AI pretending to be players just to have the world popping. Especially if the AI is willing to party up and help complete quests with you in an area.
can’t wait for all the Bene people to hop over to my realm after their fishing tourny ends, trying to turn in their shark!
Well Bene is PVP, so it be your friends at Pagle
But it was my understanding the cross-realm zones only happened in low pop areas. So probably wouldn’t pop up during the weekly tourneys. It’s more of a population fix for Westfall or Feralas.
I thought this was true unless someone sent you a cross-realm invite, then it would attempt to group you with whoever invited you (kinda like how layering… sometimes… does) regardless of population.
