I HAVE NO AUTHENTICATOR!! man what a HASSLE!! I just want to be able to login to my old acct and it seems I get no help because every new reply to a ticket(sometimes 7, 8, 12 hrs later) acts like it is a NEW ticket and starts from the very beginning! WHERE IS THE LIVE CHAT or PHONE NUMBER???
Imagine someone who isn’t you learning your login credentials, then using them to ask Blizzard to remove your authenticator so they can gut your account.
It’s supposed to be difficult to remove an authenticator. If it was easy, the authenticator would be pretty pointless, wouldn’t it?

One thing that hackers/scammers like to do when they compromise an account is to remove the authenticator so they can use the account to do bad things with.
Because Blizzard spent considerable time and resources in recovering accounts after compromises, they had to do what they can and make it harder for the scammers/hackers.
Not been available, or only for very limited time due to pandemic (working from home).
Hasn’t been one to call for many years. It was pointless, as people would call for everything and often unrelated to Blizzard products.

well my other thread is pertaining to support tickets and the lack of continuation–if that is normal or not.
this is regarding authenticators.
I want to see if others are having this issue and the possible way/s around it.

You’re going to need to wait on that ticket. The self-service authenticator removal is meant to be used to remove an authenticator while you still have access to it. If you need to remove a lost or broken authenticator, you need the help of a game master. And as you are aware, you are going to need to provide proof of ownership, as it were.
If you still have access to your account and authenticator, you can Manage Security Options on your account to remove or update it.
If you can’t log in to your account, we can help you remove your authenticator.
Note: Blizzard Phone Notifications will help you log in if you have problems with your authenticator.
