Nah, most of those unfortunately aren’t for gold.
That’s brutal. I opted for the long con with stuff like Mop world bosses and just hope that they eventually make them easier. Similar thing with the remaining TCG.

Me too, I’m hoping one day to not be farming Nalak or Oondasta.
Who am I kidding? I’ll be here farming those guys for a looong time, haha.
False. PvP mounts don’t give any prestige. Only PvPers care about your PvP performance.
If their pride is shattered by your luck, it was tenuous at best. That’s not a problem with mount prestige. That’s a self-esteem issue.
Get yourself a brutosaur tomorrow. We’ll race our longbois around Oribos.
I don’t care, either. Spend your time however you like. I certainly do.
It is good for me, as I enjoy my mounts immensely.
My sense of pride has never been based on perceived “skill.” I distinguish myself as superior by pursuing my goals until I attain them without exception.
If it takes me a day, so be it. If it takes me ten years, cool.
I’ll get there. Always. That’s my wellspring of pride. I can do the same thing for eternity and never succumb to boredom.
You know what achievements win my respect?
Archaeology and Fishing.
If you have some of those achievements, you are a dedicated player and you have demonstrated your determination and ability to see an impossibly long task through to completion.
Much more impressive than showing off how many gnomes you shanked in Arathi Basin.
I don’t care, bro.
yeahhh, I know. Why I brought up the RMT thing after. The gold ones are “the legit way” to get it done without skill though.
His nearly decade of progress screams Goldshire inn.
“Prestige” is entirely subjective. They’re pixels in a video game.
I have the Black War Tiger. Who cares?
By the same token, I also have Invincible, the Headless Horseman’s mount, and Tyrael’s Charger.
Again… Who cares?
Yeah, but ya’ ain’t worried about “muh prestige” either.
The only purpose to prestige is to become more attractive to the people of Goldshire.
Ok so all the gladiator mounts for watching the next pvp event
I’m outta hearts man.
Yeah, I only generally went after the mounts that were drops.
I never knew the ZG tiger would be taken away, but you can still KIND OF get it (for gold cap off the BMAH, or a random chance container for thousands of gold, good lord if you buy these)
Funny enough, even tho the ZG tiger was limited, it’s not the rarest mount.
I got that Solar Spirehawk off of Rhukmar sometime two-three years ago.
I looked it up, and way less people have that than do the ZG tiger, or several other mounts.
You can still get it, but it’s like a 0.02% drop chance.
I only go after stuff that makes me feel incredibly lucky.
It’s prestigious, just in a different way.
Collector’s prestige.
No skill involved, just pure damned luck.
You have to be super-super-super lucky. It took me less than one hundred attempts.
Many have thousands of kills, and no dice.
I always knew the people on Wyrmrest were sneaking over to Moon Guard for some of our trashy rp.
Spoken like a true noob who’s never gotten an elite level mount lol
Gotcha, so outside of PvP, and ignoring the prestige mounts, there aren’t any mounts with prestige.
FWIW, Prestige does not mean “rare” nor does it mean “skillful”. Prestige refers to one’s ADMIRATION of said object or person, the PERCEPTION of their skill OR based on their ACHIEVEMENTS or based on SOME QUALITY of their person.
While the PvP mounts ARE some of the hardest to attain, they are but on of the many facets of prestige. When you got lucky with a drop others hunted, you INCREASED the prestige of the mount as you managed to achieve something most never can of they all wanted to.
Anyone with enough time and dedication to learn the ins and outs of PvP has a fair shot at THOSE mounts, however hard to attain, but the RARE spawn mounts? Even if EVERYONE could afford to sit around all day and camp them, every day, and those mounts were guaranteed to spawn o every other day…
Then there will be roughly three times the number of a given such rare mount per player than the 2400+ mounts per player.
But that assumes a 2 say spawn, and also assumes 50 shards at a given time with totally unique instances every day. In reality, there will be FAR FAR less such shards. In reality, the spawn timers on some of those can be up to 6 days, or nearly triple, so the average case will be higher than two days assuming a spawn at server start each week. In some cases, some have a minimum respawn time that further narrows that scope and pushes it closer to the 3/4 day average territory.
Without adjusting for shards, some of those rare mounts, if everyone COULD sit and farm them, will require COMPARABLE levels of commitment and dedication to even SEE as the average case, and the window for some places the effective attainment rate fairly close to those 2400+ mounts.
In fact, this also assumes that PvP seasons are never growing beyond 150k active, which isn’t a hard restriction, versus a hard restriction on time and feasibility.
The average person with a 2400+ mount OR such rare spawn mounts is going to be someone who put in considerable time, effort, research, and aimed to polish their respective game play loops to maximize their respective game goals.
But if the PvP player base just grew even 10-20% larger, the 2400+ mounts would suddenly be EASIER to attain per capita.
My point is, while you may not appreciate the effort most people do for some of these mounts, it isn’t as of these mounts are actually much easier to attain than the ones you listed. Sure, the occasional can random their way to it, but as the saying goes, luck is a skill! And besides, having extraordinary luck is WAY more impressive than the PvP comparable situation, which is buying boosts.
Prestige Worldwide
Nice job being super elitist. People play this game for the rewards like getting that mount they like. Why do you care so much about trashing someone who you don’t know? Posts like this are just lame and toxic.
Wrong you can basically buy pvp mounts. Its not impressive either
You talkin’ about yourself?
Lets be real here. Not a single thing you do in this game amounts to squat. If you are worried about how prestigious a certain item or activity in a video game is, you need to go outside or get therapy. This is a video game, its make belive. None of it is real. Your friends and family (assuming you have any) dont care about who has what mount and how they got it. Come back to the real world and drop the delusion dude.
