Yup, blizz has been trying to release around the same time as them because they are wanting to keep players away from FFXIV. Very sad. They saw what happened with people flocking to Endwalker after shadowlands disaster, and are being childish about competition now. They wont say it but they actively hate competition and try to plan their big patches around other games releases and whatnot.

Mistress Xuilian stops selling her wares in August. Probably a late August release. I think August 27th is a fair bet.

It happens too often with blizzard thought, they actively watch competition and try to steal the spotlight. Its a corporate move however and makes sense, but childish because it means they rushed the expansion.

No, take their time and release it when they feel confident. Not rush TWW out of the door to try to steal the spotlight from Dawntrail. We’ve had a few buggy expansion releases because of this for a while now.

To be fair, Shadowlands was delayed and that wasn’t great at all. Considering how much of a filler nothingburger expansion The War Within (just like Dragonflight) is looking to be, I don’t think it would warrant any crunch or rush in general.

No gaming company is going to sit back and let another gaming company go first.This isn’t 1985 anymore.
Pretty sure your actual complaint is you want to play one over the other upon release. That’s a you decision.
