There’s a bias, but pretty much nothing in OP outside maybe /more/ of the story being catered towards Horde more often. And even then, it’s just more races in the Horde get more focus more often.
OP, when we’re discussing a bias it’s faction imbalance for competitive play being hell for Alliance, and more people continually going Horde even if Alliance racials are better because there were just continual advantages to actual in game pushes for Horde, but then they went and nerfed the only good one for Alliance in a long while. (Shadowmeld on MDI does not count; that’s not happening in game.)
I still remember Beastslaying in Throne being a tipping point. But stuff like Rocket Jump on Kil’jaden didn’t help. There’s plenty of examples, but Stoneform having similar cheese potentials being nerfed when there’s an absolutely massive imbalance at tte top end did not help perceptions.
For the wPvP stuff; the 15% is actually a good sign - it means there’s more Alliance in general, but there’s still issues.
wPvP becomes absolute hell for Alliance on the majority of NA and EU shards for two expansions in a row? 30% passive bonus was something, but it’s hard for most to even bother taking advantage of. Told to turn war mode off.
Horde gets farmed in the Maw? They put protections in. Where were these changes through all of BFA?
Random Battlegrounds mean almost nothing. I win most of mine even on my horribly geared alts.
Allied Races was the thing that really stung.
Everybody wanted Nightborne; they went Horde. We got Void Elves - something I personally love, but nobody asked for. It wasn’t either of the highly requested Alliance races (Etheral/High Elves) and they came out of nowhere with no foreshadowing, no build up, no presence at all. Absolutely. Nothing. All 3 other original allied races had build up, even if it was only a patch - ala: Lightforged. (Meanwhile, Highmountain were around the whole expansion.)
Also, Horde got Suramar - a Night Elf capital in the lore, along with a second flavor of Highborne - something Alliance was requesting. And you know, Nightborne story being a borderline carbon copy of Blood Elves.
So yes, allowed to be mad about that.
People saying they’ve “tried everything” don’t realize they haven’t done anything.
Where are the free faction/guild transfers? Especially for high end guilds?
Where’s the Horde vs Alliance guild races ontop of this at Blizzcon?
Where’s the “fist pumping” stuff for Alliance? Darkmoon has /two/ Horde bands, why does the Alliance have absolutely nothing fanservice like this?
Where are the raid mechanics that favor Alliance racials?
At this point, the damage is so steep there’s probably nothing that can be done outside just letting us do instanced competitive content cross faction.
The majority of my arena friends are still Horde because they’re not R1 players who can play whatever they want, they have to use LFG from time to time, and ally LFG is dead in comparison.
My former M+ friends are all Horde now because it’s easier to pug people.
Every competitive raid group I know except one on Moon Guard is on Horde now.
Horde players continually bring up minor issues like “Zandalar 2 big no flying” and how the “Alliance complain too much” - but I literally can’t play the game properly at the level I’m used to without paying additional money at that point. and I did that last season; I jumped to 2200 in a single evening after being unable to queue for months in arenas.
We have every right to complain.
