Can we not wait till the day before??? You guys obviously know when its coming and you already announced wrath release.

You mind if I enjoy this JJ buff for another week before you rush out that pre patch?
It will be the same day they put WOLTK pre orders out. Which is still unknown.
It will be 4 weeks prior to wrath launch as long as the prepatch content only has a few bugs
Its not even on ptr yet, so there is time.

2-6 weeks but I’m right there with you, I hope it’s 4+ weeks and not 2, I’d be disapointed if it was 2 weeks.

The buff lasts until WotLK release, a date we already know.
There is zero reason for us to not have a prepatch date, unless they’re making it only 2 weeks and want to minimize the number of rage threads about it.

They said they wanted to let more time than with TBC Pre-patch, so normally, they should stat it the August 9 or August 16, which would be 1 or 2 weeks more than the month they letted before TBC. And with fresh servers, they have to let people level a little bit before the launch.
It will be late august. They’re aiming for a 4 week prepatch this time. The release of the xp buff a month ahead is a dead giveaway.
I’ve gotten all TBC patches before this one correct. Expect to see it on the PTR within a week or so.

I’d like some simple communication skills from blizzard too… people would like to play on the fresh servers & they’d like to level once they launch as well. A lot of people have jobs, so they might want to take time off to put a lot of time toward levelling in time for the launch

Do the math. 8 weeks til wrath. (Give or take). 2 week prepatch was too short. They agreed between 2-6 weeks. So assume it’s 4. So in a month you will have it imo.
Yeah, I think this is the right timeframe. I wish it was a bit earlier but there do appear to still be quite a few bugs on the PTR (Blizz won’t invite me so I just go off what I hear and see from Twitch), and they also have yet to in any way publicize the Deluxe edition pre-orders.
I assume they will just release the pre-orders alongside the announcement/release of the pre-patch, and I think a few more weeks (end of August) would be enough time for them to work out the remaining bugs and get the pre-patch properly tested on the PTR hopefully with a bit more invites sent out so it can get tested by a more realistic pool of players. Not getting my hopes up, but that’s what I would hope to see.
Whenever it’s ready, I’ll be ready as well.
Well supposedly overpower is still not working for Warriors. I haven’t heard if they fixed Tank taunts or not… The Classes/specs I’ve actually tested haven’t run into issues. I don’t play Warriors or Tank specs very often so haven’t been testing those.
Things like that can affect pre-patch and those aren’t really about having different or more testers. It’s about the people who can actually fix those issues getting to them. As bad as communication is they could all be fixed internally and just not pushed to beta yet.
There is still going to be time to fix Wrath specific issues after pre-patch goes live… because you still aren’t going to be able to go over there. Yet we have a launch date for Wrath and then there are these fresh servers Blizzard announced. Which is relevant because they go live with pre-patch. I’d also expect the servers going away during consolidation to be recycled as fresh (at least some of them). So a week or two after the 9th maybe?
